Guest guest
Tina, You told a fascinating true story. The eclipse could be one of the factors that contributed to this incident. However, you need to consider also the house alignment as described in the vastu shastras. It is generally accepted that the best houses or buildings to live in would be those that have entrances facing the east or north. All the other entrances facing the south or west would only lead to sorrow. On another note, it is not a good omen to have someone commit suicide in the same house/building one lives in. Guest guest
John, Thank you for the advice on vastu. Question - how to reconcile with other school of thought such as Chinese Feng Shui. Facing South is considered the most auspicious in Feng Shui. Also at least 1/4 of New York City is facing South - what can one do if moving is not an option for some time? Any remedies? By the way, John Lennon was shot in front of his building facing East. The entire 5th Avenue Faces west. I was told that another building across the street facing North had a plunge suicide years ago too... How does Vastu apply? This solar-lunar eclipse period has been brutal to my neighborhood. On the same day of the suicide, a body from East River was identified as the suicide wife of a real estate developer on Park Ave. Today, a 95 year old lady died in her apartment fire in Sutton Place. And my dog and I got harrassed and stalked by a male senior in Sutton Place Park. All within blocks from my building. Total unprecedented shock. Guest guest
Tina, My answers to your questions are as follows: 1. Also at least 1/4 of > New York City is facing South - what can one do if moving is not an > option for some time? Any remedies? Perhaps this is the reason why New York is such a challenging place to live in. According to vastu principles, facing south attracts violence and disagreement. The best remedy is to move to another building with the right alignment. If not possible, you can align your bed to face north or east, and your favorite living room furniture to face the same direction. 2. By the way, John Lennon was shot in front of his building facing > East. The entire 5th Avenue Faces west. I was told that another > building across the street facing North had a plunge suicide years > ago too... How does Vastu apply? Vastu has many other requirements aside from the ones mentioned. The cumulative effect of not following the principles can account for the sorrows. Personally, I've been able to adopt the principles of feng shui with vastu. You should read up on these principles to come up with your own solution.
