Dear Friends,

Some genuine thougts of mine. I hope you agree...

Aadhyatma or spirituality is closely related to music. I am talking

about the music which doesn't produce momentary excitement but has

the capability of giving everlasting pleasure(chirasthayee anand).

The `naad', `swara', `shruti' or the vibrations produced have the

power to take a person to that cosmic journey.

`Dhrupad'is sung with the use of `naad swara' which is produced from

the `naabhi' and the singer totally is immersed in the pleasure of

the effects of music.

Music teaches discipline which is a requisite towards the path of

spirituality and attaining God. When a singer sings a particular

raga, he is automatically bound in certain limits of the swaras. If

he does not respect that, he or anyone listening to him, instead of

getting that `anand', instead of getting totally immersed in music,

is distracted and there is a feeling of dissatisfaction and

frustration.. The `taala' part in music also teaches discipline.

We all know the story of Tansen. When he sang raga Deepak, a

tremendous amount of heat was produced in his body. It was cooled

down by his daughter by singing raga Malhaar. Even today, music has

the capability to do miracles but those ragas have to be sung with

devotion and in their original forms. Over the years the

original `swaroop' or form of these ragas have changed and the

vibrations produced by those typical combination of `swaras' are

not the same anymore. But music still remains a medium to reach THAT

goal.

So, if you immerse yourself in good music or anything in which you

find tremendous satisfaction, with no desire to become famous or any

other materialistic desire, you are certainly on the path which

leads to the doors of GOD.

Very good thoughts, Manosi.

Music is art and beauty.

In astrology 5th house governs music.

2nd for vocal, 3rd for instrumental.

Venus gives taste for music.

Ven+moon alapana and imagination.

Mercury for rhythum or talam.

Mars gives courage/confidence for performance.

Mars+ venus+sat show tabla (dead skin)

Airy sign flute. etc.

Gemini, Sagitarious , Aquareous and Leo give good musician.

Cancer and capricorn are good listner and enjoyers.Sun in

Sagitarious gives taste for music.

In KP astro,we examine all these aspects by the sub cusp lord of 5th

house.
