Guest guest
Dear Friends, Sharing a few thoughts of mine. Today I applied for volunteering in a hospital (in my spare time). I was inspired by the selfless volunteers working there during my short stay. I keep wondering if there is just one way to attain God...meditating continuously, and chanting mantras ? And this thought brings up more thoughts. What about those people who don't really meditate but work selflessly, day and night for the sick and needy to give them whatever little they can? They enjoy doing that. Isn't that a kind of meditation? I know people who meditate vigorously, always talk about God etc. but don't mind hurting people's feelings, still have not been able to come out of their small world of ego. Are they really on the path of attaining God or those who are simple, don't meditate but help other people, help in healing the hurt done by others, selflessly, are more near to God? `That' satisfaction is equal to chanting mantras thousand times. I strongly believe, anything that we do selflessly, which gives us profound inner satisfaction has the capability to lead us to the doors of God. It's so hard to be a GOOD human being...can it be so easy to attain God? Manoshi
