Guest guest
Dear Sri RR, May be bench marking any principle may be wrong in a dynamic science like astrology. Point about FAMILY SECRETS is well noted. It reminds this one of your brush with such a Family secrets group. lol Tatvam-Asi
Guest guest
Dynamic or whatever you think of it as, a principle unless applicable in a reproducible manner, hence static (as in not changing its tune for whatever reason) is not very useful for astrologers who are for the most part bridging the interface: applying some principles operating in or borrowing from the spiritual realm and then applying it to the material world and its problems. That function of astrology has not changed from Parashara's times. Examine how many of the slokas pertain to religious spirituality etc and how many more are mundane and the same is true for other books classics or otherwise. It is one thing to sound all ethereal and esoteric and all that, but for most astrologers, it is about reproducibility and predictability. People come with real problems --- maybe not real for some hairy fairy sadhu wannabe, but those are rare thankfully in the world and on internet! For the remaining practical and down to earth astrologers, the less dynamic and more predictable astrology -- lofty and god-given even if it may be, the better. If you meant dynamic science as in one that is still growing, then I am with you. This is why I wrote "astrotreasures that survived time" and that is why I take and hurl abuse on internet where I see hypocrisy. And we all know there is a lot of that all over the place!
