Dear friend,

There are so many different opinion here.

In my opinion Rahu and Ketu have no drishti, no exaltaion or

deblitation.

These nodes give the results of planets which aspect them or conjoin

them . If not aspected or conjoined they give results of the rasi

lord where they are posted.

Ketu, the South Node of the Moon means a "sign", or a "banner" in

Sanskrit. Ketu is known as the dragon's tail, which gives birth to

comets and meteors and is known as the descending or the south node

of the Moon. Though they are included in planets, Rahu and Ketu are

not real luminaries and are regarded as shadow planets. They do not

have ability to cast aspects, as other planets do, they do not rule

any zodiacal signs and are not characterized as male or female.

Ketu is not really a planet, but rather a mathematically calculated

point in the heavens. Because of its lack of a "body" it represents

uncertain, unexpected and unpredictable phenomena. It is intelligent

and relates to mathematics and other abstract knowledge. Although it

is said to have a rashi drishti.

Drishtis are bridges between planets and between signs. Signs are

kshetras, territories; planets are executors. The connections

between planets are like relationships between humans, connections

between rashis are like hallways and doors that connect rooms. Rooms

when connected, represent the potential for one to travel easily

from one territory to the other, but SOMEONE has to got through the

path to make the connection come alive, to be useful.

When a significant lord of a fixed sign is placed in a chara rashi

which is making aspect with the said fixed sign, would such a

horoscope see the interplay and signficance of such a rashi drishti

come more alive than another similarly oriented chart without

the 'planet' elsewhere? Something to test in a few charts, I

suppose ...
