Dear Rohini & All:

 

Good points.

 

I also see that today, modern science is getting closer and closer to

'consciousness', or 'that' soul you mentioned.

 

In modern Physics, for example, they're discovered what they call the

Unified Field. It's the 'place' from where atoms come, the ground State, if

you will...

 

and as such can't be studied.

 

They talk about that how important it is to really 'Know' that field, but,

they can't get there, it's the place from 'where' things, atoms,

particles,...even entire.... universes,...come...

 

They speculate, even scientifically, that it must be a pretty great place...

 

Having as it is infinite potential, energy and power...

 

But, they still don't know how to really know it, or access it...

 

In Ved, this field is the field of Pure Consciousness,...which as it turns

out can easily be accessed by anyone through the labratories, of 'our'

individual minds...

 

We don't take an atom, and try to follow it back to it's ground state.....

instead we take a thought, called a mantra, and think it in such a way, that

mental activity becomes less....

 

As it becomes less, we transcend.... thought all together... and arrive,

directly at this ground state of the mind...

 

Here, is where both the matter and mind or Psychology fields of life, merge,

or come...

 

Human beings have a great potential and ability to truely,...'know'....

 

But, we have to transcend...

 

It's not enough to just wait till a thought comes...

 

We need to understand that source of thought....

 

In Jyotish, which is often called the eye of the Ved.... we also, can

receive the 'light' that's necessary to truely see....

 

Jyotish, too, is a path of Enlightenment....and perhaps one of the best

fields of Vedic Knowledge to help modern science....understand....

 

both the totality of life, along with all it's particulars...

 

What I love the most about Jyotish, is that it includes the knowledge and

wisdoms of both the Physical Universe, and outer aspects of life, and the

inner values, Psychology, subjectivity, and our Souls, as well!

One slight correction, if I may?

It is generally scientists who say that there is no soul, etc.

Science does not! Science only can say what has been examined and

documented. It is a fine distinction. Like all other humans,

scientists often say things that are beyond their domain of research.

However, that must not be confused with what Science says or

maintains!

 

It is just like some jyotishis have their own views about science,

diseases, other worldly and non-worldly issues. Those are their

opinions, not the opinions or conclusions stated in Jyotish.

 

Fine but important detail, methinks!
