I am a new member of this group ,which is a unique and informatic about vedic

astrology .i would like to ask that as iam studying vedic astrology from three

years as many astrologers use transit .and only saturn and jupiter are used to

see major changes but what are the function of other planets in transit as

mercury is exalted or sun is debilited. or venus in enemy house.please

elaborately answer me .

Saturn and Jupiter are extensively used in TRs because they give "permanent

effect" in TRs since they move very slow, than others. That is why they stay in

a sign for a long time, which allows them to bring permanent and powerful

changes in those matters connected to the house, compared to other fast moving

planets. Saturn stays in same sign for 2.5 years and Ju stays for 1 year, this

is just a rough idea though. Now think, will Mars, which stays in a sign for

only 45 days, be able to offer the results in TRs like Saturn who stays in a

sign for about 2.5 years? Similarly Moon enters a sign and passes so fast,

within about 2.5 days.

 

Though Ju and Sa are used to pronounce the general effects ; Merc, Mars, Venus,

Moon etc can be used in pin-pointing the date / week of an event. This needs

very good exercise and knowledge, though.
