Guest guest
Dear Rahul Ji, The rules you mentioned are not be applicable in many cases. It all depends on what the 11th house is, it's Lord, Lord's placement, whether Ju is a friend or a foe in this house, whether exalted or debilitated etc. i.e. you need to see the implications of Ju being thus placed in relation to the entire chart. This will give you a quick picture - if you then want to go deeper, you should also consider the aspects, the argalas, avasthas etc., and then go to the dasa to see the practical effects of all this. So also, in your previous posting re. Cancer and Leo ascendents, it is not true that they always have unhappy marriages. A suggestion: Study the qualities of each planet, each house and each Rasi first. This will give you more insight, than trying to learn unconnected rules, in MHO. Then try to put these together for any given chart. The great classic, BHPS by Sage Parasara (you can get it online on Tanvir ji's website) has everything you are looking for. venkatarama sreelatha , "rahul_10uday" <rahul_10uday> wrote: > > I saw the following abt 11th placed jup in a website, how far they > are true? > > #If anyone has an 11th placed Jupiter, The blessings of such people > are more auspicious than any saint, as the ability has been with them > since their past birth. > > #If you have an 11th placed Jupiter, keep yourself away from Saints, > as it will bring poverty and hard times into your life. > > #If you have an 11th placed Jupiter, take the guidance of your father > and be with your father. Guest guest
The 11th stands for gains in general, though some insist that this house only deals with material gains. Some, not all! Jupiter is generally considered the preceptor, or teacher, elder brother, gurujan (elders in general), the brahmin, priest, a judge (ideally fair), spiritual values, etc. So, by extension, putting all these together, some of the following sayings may bear fruit. However, that is the point where we must stop parroting disjointed slokas and put our thinking cap on ... ;-) Jupiter also represents other things in one's personal horoscope. It has its roles and responsibilities as lord of certain houses, it also has other karakattwas based on its chara karakttwa. It is not an island in itself, so must also respond to and work with other planets that it is associated with and is aspected by as well as its nakshatra and rashi dispositor (let us leave other vargas aside for now to avoid complexity). Then, at any given time in life, it has to work with or maybe even within the domain of the dasha lord, bhukti lord, transiting planets, etc. It is easy to see why any black and white statements like these and others that have been floated around on topics like this must be taken into consideration but not as final statements that will work out in each and every or even most horoscopes. Returning for a moment to the matter of 11th being a house of material gain (but spiritual loss some say, because of their belief that money cannot coexist with spirituality -- and this is borne out by scriptures and even actual observation). However, that could be because Jupiter though representing plenty or plentitude (as opposed to saturn, for instance) also can pose challenges arising through wealth. By giving plenty, it brings an opportunity into the individual's life to use the blessings wisely, to do more good. Some do, others don't. Some do it for a short while, others cannot even do that. Thus, arises in such an individual's life an opportunity, a window, sometimes brief, other times large, for exercising free-will, for making some wise decisions. One may say that when saturn brings its malefic influence, one's ability to exercise free-will is curtailed, restricted and needs more efforts to overcome. On the other hand, Jupiter like a benefic teacher, unlike the stern and forceful saturn teacher, showers its gifts and then does not force one into action. The outcome of either situation is the same, namely, when you had the chance to drive, where did you take the KAR(ma) of the soul to? Mind you, not all individuals with jupiter in 11 would experience all these things because like the sun which comes out for everyone daily, not everyone gains or suffers the same. Also, remember that in ashtakavarga, the 11th place has a special advantage, again indicating that the 11th is not an evil place as some make it out to be. It is however, a place of plenty that can lead to challenges. A hungry man cannot think ereadily of giving charity, but a well-fed man has the choice to be greedy and selfish or to share. Guest guest
Dear Rahul Swami Vivekananda has 11th house Jupiter. He went to a great Saint Ramakrishna, Vivekananda stayed with his father, till his abrupt death just before his marriage. You tell me,whether he should have continued with his father's huge property and become a kingly person, or was his decision to be with a "saint" giving him the real "raja yoga" correct one. best wishes partha , "V.
