Dear Amitabh,

Oh Iam sorry for incompletely quoting my matter.

Yes I agree with you on the concept of spirit worship..(Let me add this is my

perception and nothing to do with others view -For other members info)).I

personally don't like worship those who have passed away.God is always the

greatest on earth.

But I feel almost all the civilizations on earth have developed one or other

ways of pleasing spirits. But the rituals performed varies

Also to my previous mail, the gentleman also told me that in each karma the

respective God or Goddess should be prayed in different dress codes. He did

mention about yellow dress for Goddes maa when in Sthanbhana. What exactly is

this Dress codes do?(I think you answered my question here,Thanks)

Dear Anupama,

Just to add, it would be much preferred not to have any such photographs in

home.

Dear Anupama,

As per Vaastu principles, photographs of the departed souls must be placed on

the Southern (first preference) or Western walls; definitely not in the North

East portion of the house.

Certain self-profounded Tantriks misuse their sidhis (skills) for petty gains. A

true Tantrik would never declare that he is a tantrik. For him this world is

just a "maya" and he is far-far above the realms of this worldly passions. There

are five forms of Tantra - Saur (Solar), Ganpat, Vaishnav, Shaiv and Shakti. The

most widely followed is that of Lord Shiva as mentioned in the Agams. Agams are

the narrations of Lord Shiv to Ma Parvati. Here Shiv is the tutor and Parvati is

the disciple. There is another form - Nigam. Here Parvati is the tutor and Shiv

is the disciple. Tantra is widely isunderstood but it is the most elaborate

system of auto suggestion in the world. There are many Tantrik texts, they are

all off shoots of the Vedas with Athar Ved taking the lead.

With best wishes,

Amitabh Shastri

Mukund,

What you said is right.I don't have Sarpa Dosha in my Horoscope. It is really in

Ground floor.Infact I too agree on your comment on Tantriks and I never approach

them with any of my problems.Infact I too had a similar incident with a

Tantrik.I was down with high fever and one of our family friends came out and

told us that there is good Tantrik who could cure all my ailments. My parents

also agreed as they were so eager to get me out of that( I was almost sick for 1

month). That guy came and said (some spirits and those regular stories) and said

that he was performing some poojas that night,we may hear some noises outside

the house and none of us should go out of the house and in the morning if

anything happens should keep him informed. That night we heard lots of noises

outside.Morning we got up ,saw two small dolls outside the house. Those days I

was doing my graduation and my brother was also there with me.We got an idea.We

tookout the doll ,changed it put some hay and made a new

one with a note inside "NEVER TRY TO FOOL PEOPLE".

The next day he came .Told us "it was a costly one and did you get

anything???"Infact we told our dad not to come out and we will manage him.We

said yes and gave him the doll. But we made a mistake, the new one had two hands

and two legs in addition to the one kept by him.His face turned red and somehow

we forcefully made him take that. With that he never returned and we could save

our dad's money.

Nag Dosha:Coming on this particular incident-I don't think we are having any

doshas like that. This has coincidence with a incidence in my childhood.I was in

my school and my dad had brought a small Idol of Sarpa to be kept in the drawing

room. After that he had been to his work place. Those days my grand parents were

alive and they said why to put this in Drawing room let's put this in Prayer

room.We kept it there and we were not performing any additional poojas for

that.It went on for 1 year and after that we started seeing snakes in the

house. The first inside the dining room and next day in the living room .I still

remember those days , I came straight from school ,put both my legs on top of a

sofa and infact my grandmother had to take great pains to make me walk on the

floor and have food.

On the third day she handed it over to the nearby temple and with that

everything stopped. However we had to continue offering poojas in the temple and

if that is delayed we start seeing the same in the house.Infact when I started

on with the mantra ,it made a second appearance inspite of the pooja being

performed in the temple(that too on the 1st floor ,where the possibility of

coming is very remote).Probably as you said I shouldn't have tried that.My

intention of chanting was to test the effect and I did stop that with my second

trail.

Spirit Worship:As mentioned in your mails I have noticed many people putting the

photos of those passed away in the prayer room and worshiping them.I personally

don't like that.what is your opinion. Is it a good practice to worship human

souls who are no more.If God is there ,then why are people worshiping

spirits????

Did REAL snakes enter your home? Is your home on the ground floor or

on a higher floor?

When the scriptures talk about "snakes entering home," they're saying

this FIGURATIVELY not LITERALLY.

Snake on a mundane level represents evil/evil people/evil things.

When the scriptures say that due to a particular combination in one's

horoscope "snakes will enter the home," they mean that this person

will come in contact with evil people or experience evil and

unpleasant things.

You shouldn't chant mantras UNLESS they're harmless mantras like

Gayatari mantra or simple Shiva (Namaha Shivaya) mantra or Ganesh

mantra--even SOME Ganesh mantras can be used NEGATIVELY to control

other people. Some Hanuman mantras can be used negatively. And a lot

of "Ma Kali" mantras can be used negatively.

Some Tantriks use these mantras to capture spirits--I have personal

experience of this--A Tantrik (for whom I was a complete stranger) I

met told me almost everything about my life and correctly answerd ALL

my questions--even accurately told me my bank balance. The most

shocking part was that my air-plane (en route to India) had made an

emergeny landing in Iceland due to a couple of fire alarms going off

and this Tantrik said-"you had an inaupicious event happen on the

airplane." I hand't even told my parents about the emergency landing

as they worry toomuch.

I enquired with some older/experienced Jyotishas and they told me

that these Tantriks capture spirits with some Black-magic mantras and

these spirits whisper answers into the ears of the Tankrik whenever

their client asks questions and these Tantriks don't have any miracle

remedy for changing a person's fate.--My Tantrik took a lot of money

from me for remedy to my marriage situation, but the situation still

remains the same.

Mantras have a specific purpose and shouldn't be chanted unless

needed for that purpose. Mantras should only be prescribed by someone

with 20-30 years of Jyotish experience who has training in

contructing a mantra.

The mantras have to be person specific, i.e. someone with Ketu in

12th house would need a Dwadakshari Ganesh mantra and someone with

Ketu in 5th house would need a Panchakshari Ganesh mantra. -- Very

similar to doctor prescribing different medicines to patients with

different diseases.

I bet you don't have "Sarpa yog" in your horoscope.

Anantha as well as vasuki manthra).Had a small issue .I was chanting

Anantha manthra regularly. After my completion of 21 days Snakes (

especially poisonous ones ) started coming inside the house.Once I

stopped the very same incident stopped also.

of snakes stopped after that. But on resuming the same again, had the
