into the matter.

 

For career, let us consider Guru, the lord of the 10th, and the

10th house itself. Guru is in the 2nd house, Uccha in Rasi, but

Neecha in Navamsa. He aspects his own house, the 10th, and thus

strengthens it to an extent. However, it has to be recognized

that he is a Badakadipati for Common sign Mituna, and so can be

expected to cause some difficulties.

 

Regarding the choice of career - maybe, your confusion arises

because of Chandra's status. Chandra is in his own house, but is

conjunct Surya within 2 degrees. He is too far away from Guru -

over 16 degrees - to benefit from the conjunction. His Shad Bala

score of 9.74 rupas is the highest among all the grahas, but his

Ishta Pala is a low 4.8 when compared to his Kashta Phala of

35.1. This means that Chandra, who governs the mind, is bound to

subject you to considerable mood swings, and give you many

mental ups and downs.

 

Regarding the choice of career between research and

administration, well, let me say that you are the best person to

choose. However, since your Lagnadipati is known for

intelligence, and also because the lord of your 10th is known to

be the planet of wisdom, maybe, research will suit you better.

Of course, this is just a personal suggestion, and ultimately,

you should make the decision based on non-astrological factors

like inclination, availability of a particular position, growth

possibilities, etc.

 

Regarding religion, Ketu in the 9th, and the fact that Sani,

lord of the 9th, aspects the 9th, gives you a good boost here.

However, Sani and Rahu are conjunct within 3 degrees, and this

causes Srapit Yoga, which is said to be painful, especially in

the periods of Rahu and Sani. There are some poojas, which can

reduce the malefic nature, and you should contact a qualified

poojari for the same.

 

You are currently running Budha Dasa [Jan 1996 - Jan 2013] and

Kuja Bukti [Jul 2004 - Jul 2005]. Budha is your Lagnadipati, but

he is conjunct Badakadipati Guru, and this will colour the Dasa

throughout. Kuja is the lord of the 6th - and by Bhavat Bhavam,

the 6th from the 6th - and so is not very helpful. However, the

aspect of Sani on Kuja means that there is some control over

Kuja Bukti, though Sani's rulership of the 8th, and the general

lack of friendship between Sani and Kuja will mean that this, at

the end of the day, is a mixed blessing. Budha's Shadvarga

Vimshopak is also below 10, and this could also reduce the

advantages of the Lagnadipati's Dasa.

 

In terms of Gochara, Sani (1), Rahu (10), Ketu (4), and Guru (3)

are all inimical. In end-Feb, Ketu's transit of the 3rd house

will make things a little better than they are now.

Affliction of Sanghtaic Nakshtra (16) and Vinash Nakshtra (23)

by Surya could spoil your plans, but Guru gives some possibility

of growth by saving Uday Nakshtra (18) from Ketu and Sani, with

Budha's assistance. Sukra saves Adhana Nakshatra (19) and Raj

Nakshatra (26), and offers some promise, but Sani in the

Abhishek Nakshatra (27) could spoil this. Guru and Ketu aspect

the Manas Nakshatra (25), and Guru will provide some calmness,

which Ketu might try to reduce. Pray to God, He will help you
