Astrological Indicators For Interracial Relationships

Hi all,

Being that I am the offspring of an interracial couple(white mother

and black father) and in an interracial relationship with a white

woman, I was wondering what are astrological indicators for

interracial relationships. I read that Rahu has to do with

alternative. I guess that my Moon in Satabisha(Rahu's nakshastra)in

7th house indicates my interracial relationship. My mother has Rahu

conj Mars in Sagittarius in 7th.

My Uncle Eddie had a Filipino wife who bore him 2 children,and he has

Ketu in 7th. He ended up marrying a blue eyed blonde woman afterwards

He's my mother's halfbrother. He's Portuguese on his father's side

and Puerto Rican/Mexican on his mother's side.

Just curious. I heard that interracial relationships are frowned on

in India. Here in USA,it's no big deal. Interracial relationships are

being more accepted,but they are still not the mainstream.

Interraical marriages aren't the mainstream. Therefore, do you look

at afflicted Venuses,7th house lords,afflicted 7th houses,and badly

placed Venuses. What about aspectings involving Venus or 7th house

lord with Ketu,Rahu,and 12th house. I do have 12th house lord in

7th,and so I wondered that could also be an interracial relationship

indicator. Interestingly,12th house lord Moon conjuncts my 4th/9th

house lord in 7th,and so that could indicate that my own interracial

background influenced my relationships that I am into interracial

relationships too.

What have you noticed in the charts of mixed ethnic people like me

society, these may not be very clearly depicted in the charts of the

people.

In your chart [KP chart with placldus division of houses, a house

taken from cusp to cusp], Rahu is sub lord of the cusp of ascendent

[20* Leo] in Venus star.

Moreover, Moon and Rahu are exchanging the stars. This is how

interracial relations are depicted in your chart.

Moon in 6th house with Mars is playing important part in shaping

your personality. Saturn and Jupiter aspecting 9th and 3rd house

giving you a very broad/philosphical outlook.

Hi,

Ahh You use the krisnamurti system that uses the Placidus house

system. I use the Parashara whole house system. I feel that I can

strongly relate to having Ketu in Cancer in 12th as well as 12th

house lord and 9th house lord conjunct in Aquarius in 7th. It seems

like that using Parashara system with whole houses, My 12th house

lord Moon in Rahu nakshastra can be an indicator in interracial

relationships. I feel that I have suffered a lot through

relationships,and my girlfriend has suffered too.

I can easily relate to 6th/7th house lord Saturn in 10th in mutual

aspect to 4th/9th house lord Mars. I was in the military for 7

years,and my stepfather was retired from 20 year career in Air Force

when my mom met him when I was 2 yrs old. I served in the United

States Navy. I didn't see a psychiatrist until I joined the navy. I

definitely had health issues when I was in the navy. I also had anger

issues during my military career. I am interested in a healthcare

career. I am very interested in holistic healing. I am in massage

therapy school right now. I felt that I was meant to be in a holistic

business with whoever I am meant to marry. My girlfriend and I

thought that we would be good partners.

I feel that I can easily relate to 4th/8th house lord Scorpio in 4th

house aspecting my 8th house. My mother is fat. She has diabetes and

hepatitis. She has other health problems too. My mother has

Jupiter,Mercury,Ketu in her 1st using Parashara whole house method.

6th house lord Saturn aspects my Jupiter in 4th house,and my mother

is very strict,and it can also indicate her health issues. Of couse,

6th house lord Saturn aspecting my Moon in Satabisha could also

indicate that. I had a strict homelife in general. Also, I am rather

solitary type at home. I don't have people visiting me.

I have read interpretations for my Parashara system whole house

system,and I really have to say that I feel that I relate more to the

Parashara whole house system.

Hi,

I wanted to add some things. I am not into social things. I am not

even employed. I am going to massage therapy school, and I am getting

disability from social security and Veterans Administration for

Depression. I am highly introverted type of person. My mother would

worry that I would be in my room by myself a lot when I was living

with her. I can be quite the recluse. I am not the type of person who

goes out and have fun. My idea of fun is the movies and library. I

chat on irc a lot. I hang out in Astrology channels on irc.

Another too is that I am ultrasensitive type to the point that I am

easily affected by everything around me - highly empathetic type.

That's why I could relate to my Moon in Pisces square Neptune in

Western Astrology. I honestly feel that I can relate to Ketu in

Cancer in 12th aspected my 5th/8th house lord Jupiter in Scorpio in

4th and 6th/7th house lord Saturn in 10th. I feel that I have a lot

of difficult karma. I felt like I suffered a lot since birth. When

I was a kid, I was cried easily. I definitely cried a lot when I was

picked on during my years of special education. Actually I was picked

on and teased a lot by others when I was growing up. People with

learning disabilities do tend to be highly sensitive than the average

person. I am very rightbrained type of person. I am not a very

logical,rational,linear type. I don't think that I am much of linear

type thinker. I am a person that thinks mainly in pictures with a

vivid imagination. I am quite intuitive and instinctive. Like I said,

I am very rightbrained like the Dyslexic that I am. I am very

attracted to highly sensitive women. I like women with great

emotional depth or I am not interested. They have to have good morals

too.

The research and investigation thing is right. I feel that can be

contributed to my 8th house lord Jupiter in Scorpio in 4th aspecting

my 8th house. I feel that 8th house lord Jupiter in Scorpio aspecting

my Saturn in 10th can indicate why I am interested in a career that

involves things like psychology and metaphysics. I do want to work as

an astrologer. I have studied western astrology since 1998,and I want

to be professional western astrologer. I want to study Vedic

Astrology,but I am not cut out to be a Vedic Astrologer. I feel that

my retrograde 6th7th house lord Saturn in Taurus in 10th indicates

that I can have career delays and I can get into a health related

career later on,and I could even work with my future spouse.

I also feel that I have military service connected disability

compensation for depression because of my 8th house lord Jupiter in

Scorpio in 4th aspecting 8th house. That's good for receiving

unearned money. I feel that 6th house lord Saturn in 10th aspecting

my Ketu in Cancer in 12th indicates that a lot of structure and

restrictions in my career that can lead to deep psychological

problems like Depression and Anxiety. I was also misdiagnosed as

schizoaffective bipolar by psychiatrists. I don't trust

psychiatrists. I feel that they cannot understand adults with

learning disabilities and ADHD.

What you described about my girlfriend sounds more like my mom. My

mother is that way. That would fit right in with 8th house lord

Jupiter in Scorpio in 4th house aspected by retrograde Saturn. My

mother is very intense and she had life threatening situation. My mom

was shot 3 days before my 3rd birthday,and I was with her at the

time.

I feel that Saturn aspecting my 9th house lord Mars can also indicate

my seriousness about philosophy and Religion,and of course Saturn in

mutual aspect to Jupiter could indicate the same thing. Also my

Sun,Mercury,and Venus are in 9th house from the Moon,and so that

could indicate my strong philosophical religious nature.

Sun,Mercury,and Venus aspects my 9th any way from the 3rd house. I

definitely believe that chandra lagna chart is important.

Dear Raymond,

Thanks for giving feedback.

I can see your discrption of your personality from your chart.

As I told earlier, your personality is governed by Rahu in Moon

star .Moon in aquarious with Mars in 6th house tells the picture.

Aquarious sign gives solitude, and eccentric personality. Lazy and

lethargic when left alone.

You donot follow tradition & think that law is not for you.

It also gives sluggish circulation of blood. 6th house gives

sickness, attachment to uncles & subordinates[servants].

6th house also gives victory in court case, election, service in navy

[ Mars+moon]. Your behaviour/actions may be irritating to others. It

may not harm you as 6th house is for gains from others. But still

you have to work on this aspect of your personality. You should also

take care of hygine to avoid infectious diseeases.

In dress and other routines you donot follow tradition but have your

own peculiarity.

Go for fresh air and friendship. Walking in gardens/lawns with

company and giving lot of rest to your mind and body should

definately help you.

Yep... I have 6th house lord Saturn aspecting Moon and Mars in

Aquarius in 7th. That could also show that. My girlfriend is

definitely eccentric, but she's also very humble. She has some

problems with insecurity. I wouldn't care if my future spouse is

unconventional I would love that. I don't want a conservative partner.

Another thing too is that I feel that Mars conjunct 12th house lord

in 7th can indicate having a partner who was victim of violence

I have pretty good physical health. I never had any broken bones

either. It's my mom that has the serious health problems.

I don't know about not following tradition. I am a lawabiding

citizen. I follow the rules. I don't like getting in trouble.

The thing is that I was treated as an outcast when I was a little kid

because I was different from a lot of kids. I was in the special ed

system for 3 yrs because of my Dyslexic and Dyspraxic symptoms. I

tried so hard to be normal and to fit in. I succeeded. I got back

into mainstream education in 3rd grade.

Actually other's actions were irritating to me. A lot of people were

narrowminded and made fun of me,and they called me stupid. So hell

yeah...I got angry and lashed out. I got called "retard" all the time

I would say that retrograde 6th house lord Saturn in Taurus in 10th

Jupiter in my 4th helps along with my yoga karaka Mars in 7th

aspecting my Saturn in 10th. Jupiter aspecting my Saturn in 10th

too. With 9th house lord Mars aspecting my 6th house lord Saturn in

10th. I can be fortunate in a healthcare career. Jupiter is 10th

house from my Moon,and that could help with career. I also have

Jupiter in 2nd house from Sun,and so I have a Vesi Yoga involving

Jupiter.

placements are the same as Western Astrology which I have studied for

Dear Raymond,

It is very good that you believe and follow Parasari system. You

have made great analysis of your chart from different angles.

I follow KP system and placement of houses are different. Cusp of

any house is most important for results of any house.

Disease is seen from 6th cusp. General health from first cusp.

Rahu being sublord of ascendent can cause the problems you describe.

6th cusplord is Venus in your case and Venus in association with

Mercury in mental developement [3rd house] gives sort of problems

you describe. I have not much idea of these terms but Mercury in 3rd

in Libra can give brain, locomotor problems , anxieties etc but it

also gives a broad outlook, good mental developement, Venus gives

optimism, favors from others/agencies/govt.And a strong desire to

keep good health.

These two planets are in Jup star and Jup also being in 3rd as per

Kp, Jup in scorpio in 3rd house aspected by Sat gives similar

problems emotionally and deep set.

This is all broadly I can see. But Scorpio and Libra being healthy

signs, recoupments are not problem. Strength and stamina are there.

I mean these are not sick signs.[in cancer or pisces it could have

been worse].

As per KP Rahu is in 5th house, so you are right you can expect

similar problem in case of your issue[ may be a daughter].

Other things I said are as per general reading which changes as per

dasa and bhukti. In general what you say is seen from your chart.

Hi,

Thank you for your compliments. Thank you for looking at my KP chart.

I respect both systems. Seeing how both Western Astrology and Vedic

Astrology can be very accurate. I can see how both Parashara and KP

system can be very accurate too. Just like many religions can lead

to spiritual attainment, many methods can lead to insight.

In the kala vedic astrology program, I have found some yogas that I

have that seem to relate to the problems that I have.

EAR DISORDERS

The Sun and Mercury joined in the 3rd, 6th or 11th cause deafness.

(I have Sun conjunct 11th house lord Mercury in 3rd, but I am not

deaf.....I do have auditory processing problems....they were very bad

when I was a little child.....I was hearing words incorrectly.....had

phonological problems...had hard time with sounds......that's the

main cause of Dyslexia.....not visual problems...............I think

that Sun and Mercury in 9th house from the Moon helps me not be deaf)

EYE DISORDERS

The 2nd lord with Venus indicates eye disease.

(My 2nd lord Mercury is conjunct Venus.....I never had any eye

disease, but I am very nearsighted with astigmatism)

If Mars is in a malefic's rasi in an angle the native shall certainly

be blind.

(I have Mars in a malefic Saturn's rasi, Aquarius in 7th house....I

am not blind, but I am very nearsighted(20/400 vision) with strong

astigmatism....I believe that I am not blind because Mars is my yoga

karaka for it rules both my 4th and 9th house)

The 2nd lord in Venus's rasi having relation with the lagna lord

indicates squint. (That seems like nearsightedness to me........My

2nd house lord Mercury is conjunct Sun in Libra.....Sun in Libra is

debilitated any way......I am sure a conjunction of debilitated Sun

can make it worse......20/400 vision is very nearsighted....legally

blind)

The 3rd lord with Mercury indicates dysphasia.

(Dysphasia is problems with producing and understanding speech,and I

did have those problems.....that can be related to my

Dyslexia......My 3rd house lord Venus conjuncts Mercury and it is in

3rd.................I feel that the combination of Sun,3rd house

lord Venus,and Mercury in 3rd house indicates my Dyslexia that has to

do with problems with auditory processing,phonological problems, and

speech)

The Sun or Mars in the 3rd indicates fractures, danger from poison

and a burnt mark on the body.

(I have Sun in 3rd....I have burnt myself accidentally numerous

times...just slight burns......I have to stay away from that

oven .......even had a burn by accidentally rubbing my arm against a

hot pan of fajitas at a restaurant....heheehehe)

INJURIES AND ACCIDENTS

The Moon influenced by Mars makes one prone to injuries.

(I have Moon conj Mars,and I am prone to injuries.........I was

always accident prone......none of them were serious injuries

though.......I think that Mars being my 4th/9th house lord has

something to do with that........I even got hit by a car when I was

10 yrs old,and I got up with just a scratch.....It was my fault....I

wasn't using the crosswalk,and I was riding my bike)

The Moon in an angle with Mars indicates fear of vehicle accidents.

(I have Moon conjunct Mars in 7th.....Interestingly, I am afraid of

driving.....I never had a driver's license.....I already got hit by a

car..........it's a possiblity that I could be involved in a vehicle

accident)

TOOTH AND MOUTH DISORDERS

Malefics in the 7th unaspected by benefics indicates dental disease.

(Check to see that there is no benefic aspect). A malefic in the 7th

without benefic aspect, indicates crooked or unsightly teeth.

(I have Mars in 7th conjunct a benefic, Moon, but Moon is my 12th

house lord and in malefic's sign, Aquarius.....I do have crooked

teeth)

Rahu or Ketu in the 6th indicates disease of the teeth, lips or

alveolar process, or the native will suffer from an ulcer in the

teeth or the lips.

(I have Rahu in 6th, and I do have history of dental

problems...........I have Ketu in 6th house from the Moon,aspected by

6th house lord Saturn)

THROAT DISEASE

The 3rd lord with Mercury indicates disease in the throat.

(My 3rd house lord Venus conjuncts Mercury in 3rd, but I don't have

any disease in throat....I don't smoke....so that helps.......my 3rd

house lord Venus is in its own sign,Libra....I am sure that helps)

The Moon with a malefic indicates trouble in the throat.

(I have Moon conjunct Mars, and I had sore throat numerous times in

my life.....nothing serious)

MULTIPLE AND MISCELLANEOUS DISEASES

If the 6th lord, being a malefic, is in the lagna, 8th or 10th the

native suffers from cancer.

(I have 6th house lord, Saturn which is a malefic, in 10th

house...........I don't have cancer, but cancer does run in my family

on my mother's side.....my mother had cervical cancer....6th house

lord Saturn does aspect 8th house lord Jupiter in 4th house as well

as aspect my 4th house lord Mars......It is possible that I will have

cancer in the future)

The 6th lord in the 10th, with or aspected by a malefic, indicates

ulcers or wounds in the body part represented by the rasi in the 10th.

(My 6th house lord Saturn is in 10th, and is aspected by malefic

Mars, but I don't have ulcers or wounds involving the body

represented by Taurus in the 10th which is throat area........Mars is

my 4th/9th house lord......that should help too)

CHRONICALLY SICK AND DISEASED

A malefic in the 12th and 12th lord with a malefic indicates that the

native is physically indisposed.

(I do have the malefic Ketu in the 12th and 12th house lord Moon

conjunct Mars, but I am not chronically sick nor diseased.....Mars is

my 4th/9th house lord,and that helps......but 6th house lord Saturn

aspects both my Ketu in 12th and 12th house lord Moon .........that

can definitely indicate chronic disease.........I better watch out

for that.....I am very certain that I could have serious health

issues during my Ketu dasa.........It could be cancer.......after

all.......I have 6th house lord Saturn in 10th aspecting my Ketu in

12th and 12th house lord Moon.........but it could also be why I am

training to be a holistic health practitioner........I also have

malefic,Rahu in 12th from the Moon, and that can figure in with

chronic health issues)

KIDNEY AND URINAL DISORDERS

Mars in the 7th under malefic influence indicates urinary troubles

and impotency.

(I have Mars in 7th, and it is under a malefic influence from being

in Saturn's sign, Aquarius and aspected by 6th house lord

Saturn............I had enuresis {bedwetting) when I was a

child.......I also had temporary impotency from psychiatric

medications.....my body is so sensitive to medications.......I feel

that it has do with Ketu in 12th dispositor Moon conjunct my Mars in

7th)

STOMACH AND ABDOMINAL AILMENTS

The 11th lord in the 3rd indicates colic.

(I have 11th house lord Mercury conjunct 3rd house lord Mercury in

3rd house...........I believe that I had those problems as a child)

LEPROSY

The Moon in the navamsa of Sagittarius, Capricorn, or Pisces

indicates leprosy.

(I have Moon in Sagittarius in the navamsha ,but I don't have leprosy)

Another thing is that I was born 4 weeks premature after 23 hours of

labor. Mom told me that I had fell asleep during labor,and so the

birth was induced. She told me that the labor would have lasted much

longer. I was big for a premature baby. I was 21 1/2 inches long

and 7 pounds,15 ounces...........The doctors thought I had jaundice

because I was born with pale yellow complexion, but my mother said

that was from my mixed ethnic background.....They tested me for

jaundice any way,and my mother was right.......so I was nearly

misdiagnosed right after I was born.......I guess that was a sign for

misdiagnoses in the future)

When Rahu or Ketu occupy house 5:

Typically there are one or two children, but the children will have

some social difficulty. Frequently these are learning or behavioral

disorders that can be addressed skillfully, often accompanied by

I feel that my indicators for children with similar problems are:

Ketu conjunct Jupiter(karaka of children) in my navamsha. Like my

mother, I have Ketu in 5th in the septamsha. I have Moon,Venus,and

Ketu in 5th in septamsha. Those can indicate that I will have special

needs children - Dyslexic and maybe Dyspraxic. The dispositor of my

Ketu in 12th house,Moon is in Satabisha in 7th house. That could

indicate a special needs spouse. Traci is Dyslexic including past

speech problems like me. The dispositor of my Ketu in 12th,Moon

aspecting 4th house lord, Mars can indicate special needs mother.

The dispositor of my Ketu in 12th,Moon aspecting my 9th house lord,

Mars can indicate special needs father. Both of my parents had

Dyslexic/ADHD symptoms and traits. My mother told me that she has

some of the Dyslexic symptoms that I showed her from Dr Levinson's

Dyslexia site. She had feelings of intellectual inadequacy. She told

me that my father had speech problems like me. She told me that he

had problems in high school. She told me that he had problems using

his hands too,and so he might have had Dyspraxia. Both were

ultrasensitive and very emotional like me.That's very common in

people with learning disorders and ADHD. That's why they get

diagnosed with disorders like bipolar which happened to me. I find

it ridiculous. This could happen to my own Dyslexic children which I

am very certain to have for both my girlfriend and I are Dyslexic.

Another thing to know is that many people with Dyslexia and other

learning disorders tend to develop problems with anxiety and

depression. It all comes from insecurity and frustration. It is no

wonder that I have problems with depression and anxiety like both my

parents.

Dear Raymond,

You are starting Saturn dasa which in 9th house [KP].

It is in the star and sub of moon and Mars both together in 6th

house.

So the challanges and area of concern of the coming period would be

governed by these three planets mainly/broadly .[ Offcource bhukti

variation also are signficant].

In this scheme of results Ketu does not play much role. Also ketu in

11th house is beneficial.

Sat will make you more and more philosphical, occult oriented,

unconventional religious, meditative, scienmtific etc etc.

Mars in 6th is very important. In times to come it will initiate to

some political activity, fetch you sufficient money from

land/property or from some institutions. You will be very active but

careless. You will win over your opponents/litigation.

Moon is bit sensitive here.It is lord of 12th also. So occult

subjects, indiscreet love affairs, gain through hospitals or

isolated position. You will make long voyages.

The thing is too

if I use Krishnamurti system,

My Jupiter,Moon,Mars,and Saturn are a lot of weaker because they are

not in kendras as they are when using Parashara system, and I know

that I have strong Jupiter,Moon,Mars,and Saturn traits. I know that

my mother has strong Jupiter,Saturn,and Mars traits. That's why I

can strongly relate to Jupiter in Scorpio in 4th aspected by Saturn.

She is very religious,but she's a bit narrowminded when it comes to

religion. She's definitely a passionate and aggressive type. This is

easily shown by Mars conjunct Rahu in Sagittarius in 7th aspecting

Mercury,Jupiter,and Ketu in Gemini in 1st house. She has Moon

conjunct Saturn in 5th. In some ways, my mother spoiled me. She did a

lot for me, but she was stern and abusive with me. She had problems

with her temper. She had manic depressive tendencies. She even

admitted that was like that in her early 20's.

also.....Ketu is moved out of 12th.....it's less

spiritual,mystical,and less emphasis on loss and suffering....of

course less emphasis on liberation.......I think that Ketu in 12th

might indicate my tendency to have lucid dreams(I usually like to fly

when I know that I am dreaming....hehehehe)

I once told myself if I don't get married by the time I am 36 yrs

old, I might join a monastery. I find that very thought fitting for

somebody that has Ketu in 12th dispositor conjunct 4th/9th house lord

Mars in 7th house. Who knows....maybe I will.......Maybe I will end

up married,and married life doesn't work out for me. Maybe I find

trouble finding the right person. Maybe God will tell me in a dream

that I need to forget the material things and pursue the spiritual.

Maybe I will see signs in real life that I need to do that. You just

never know. That could happen. I am really not concerned with

material things as much as I did when I was a teenager. I don't even

wear jewelry,and not even a watch. I do want to be productive in my

society. Therefore I want a good career that involves me healing and

service. I want a spiritually-oriented type career.

I like the use of whole houses better when it comes to Vedic,and I

can still use the nakshatras. I could still use the navamsha that is

used to finetune readings. I find that the septamsha charts have

substance. I find it interesting that both my mom and I have ketu in

5th house in saptamsha. That can indicate we both have special needs

children. She had me as a special needs child,and it's very likely

that I will have a special needs child. Of course, the kid can also

be a mystical type too. Another thing too is that mom has ketu

conjunct 12th house mercury in 5th in septamsha,and I have ketu in

12th in my rashi. I find that very interesting. She has Mercury

conjunct Ketu in both her saptamsha and navamsha,and I find that is a

big emphasis on her having children with learning disorders and

speech problems as well has highly sensitive nervous systems. Those

often overlap too.

Also there could be problems using the krishnmurti system for people

that live in high altitude regions like the Scandinavian areas.

Any ways....different strokes for different folks. I prefer to save

the Placidus house system for Western Astrology which uses the

outerplanets. I have strong Neptune influence. In Western Astrology,

I have Moon in Pisces in 6th square Neptune in Sagittarius in 3rd

with a 1'23 orb,and it opposes Saturn in Gemini in 9th. That's a t-

square. It indicates great challenges involving

spirituality,realism,depression,illusion,deception,mysticism. I am

skeptical to the point that I don't get involve with magick,cults,and

gurus. It seems to have similarities with my Ketu in Cancer in 12th

aspected by Saturn and Jupiter.

I feel that if people use western techniques like the Placidus house

system, might as well add the outerplanets too.

I have already seen some astrologers interpreting Rahu and Ketu

placeements with Western-type interpretations.

Another thing to is that I am not a follower of Parashara. I don't

follow anybody. I use what works well for me. I learn on my own about

stuff. I guess that's my Moon conj Mars in Aquarius...whether it is

6th or 7th house.

I don't blindly follow scriptures. If that was the case, I would be a

Christian from reading the bible so much. I have no religious

preference. Religion is all personal to me. I don't want to be a

Roman Catholic like my mother. I don't believe a pope has any control

over my spiritual life.

That's how I view Astrology. Like James Braha said, people trust in

textbooks and scriptures too much. He believes in testing things out

for himself. The fact is that people can use many techniques and

find that they work even if they go against the beliefs of others.

I left one Vedic Astrology group owned by Wendy because it was like

do Vedic Astrology only her way.

I find contradictions in Vedic Astrology that really need to be

sorted out including what nodes to use, 9th or 10th as the father. I

find that 9th house works well as father in my chart. House systems

to use too. There is house system agreement in Vedic Astrology too.

I worried about polluting Vedic Astrology by using outerplanets like

Neo-Vedic Astrologers are doing. With planets like Ketu and Rahu,

you don't need to use the outerplanets. I realized that. Also Saturn

seems to have qualities of Pluto in Vedic Astrology. I noticed that

too.

James Braha and some others says that Ketu and Rahu cast aspects

5th,7th,and 9th house from themselves. I am finding that they have

some influence, but I am not taking that for granted. I find that

the varga charts seem to explain stuff. Wendy has shown me that. I

have seen for myself.

Vedic Astrology is so complexed like Astrology in general. That's why

we have different methods of doing Vedic Astrology that people

disagree with including saying that a certain methods works much

better for them. I feel that it all comes down to - does it work?

Can the client relate to what the astrologer is saying. Can you

relate to it in your own life. Those are things that I have learned

as a western astrologer. Not just because the book says it is so.

That's like believing everything that a psychiatry book says.

You are amongst the most valueable contributors of this forum. I believe you are

a very good astrologer having a very strict clarity of vision and observation.

This is great. Lacking in time I could not go through all of your post, but here

are some replies -

TANVIR: This is great and a must to do. I feel the very same. Personally I am

strictly against of using the 9th, and though for coincidents it might show

working, but facts can be explained in many ways and one dictum must be able to

explain at least *most* of the charts to show it's strength is not a

coincidence. About house system, I never explored western ones but compared only

the one which puts the cusp in middle and extends the houses to both sides by 15

degrees, I think it is called equal houses, and comparing it to whole sign-whole

house, I prefer the latter one of course. Nodes must be also sorted out.

Personally I was fortunate to come along some charts where nodes change the

signs for being true or mean, and I for the reason of viewing closely, strictly

advocate for true nodes. Of course, they are astronomically true. It is a case

like ayanamsha. Astronomical truth must be there. I look forward to share some

charts in the future when I am ready.

5-7-9 aspects and (2) Can you share some charts with life events to show the

Vargas working?

I just wanted to clarify one thing as u wrote that equal house in

western Astrology takes the 15 degree behind and forwrd.

It is not so. In equal house division 30 degrees in advance are

exactly calculated from the degree held by the Asc.E.g if asc is 12

degree taurus. Then in equal house division Asc will occupy from 12

degree taurus to 12 degree Gemni. and so on.

Hi Tanvir,

Thank you very much for your compliments. I am just very interested

in this fascinating science that Vedic Astrology is. I want to learn

as much as I can about it. However; I don't want to blindly follow

anybody's ideas. I want to see for myself.

I don't really have any examples involving the aspects of the nodes.

I believe that they could work, but I am not confident in using nodal

aspects. The varga charts could easily explain away the validity of

nodal aspects just like Wendy did with me. There is so much that we

can get from astrology without the nodal aspects. I believe that the

dispositors of the nodes probably have a significant effect in the

chart.

BTW.....I am not sure about which house is father. So much debate. I

know for some, 9th house seems to work. Definitely the Sun works.

What are vedic astrology programs that you would recommend?

Do you think Goravani program might be alright?

Salam, How are you? Thanks for the correction. I meant that I tried one more

house system which is *not* any western system. I know western systems take the

cusp as starting point and they do have an equal house system. But I was talking

about the Vedic one which keeps the cusp in middle and extends the house to 15

degrees both front and back. I think in Vedic it is also called equal house

system. But for sure I did not confuse it with the western one :-)
