Guest guest
hello i am running my mercury dasha. my mercury is combust in my ninth house of sagittarius. also it is conjoined with ketu. my mercury is in the star of ketu(moolam).in my earlier period of saturn i was better in my studies. in my navamsa my mercury is conjoined with ketu in my 12th house of cancer. right now i find it very difficult to concenterate. i m currently doing my masters & not planning to study further even if i make upto the req. marks. my mind constantly seeks diversion esp. in the form of studying astrology & subjects of reincarnation. right now i don't desire to make much money. i only desire to have enough to manage on my own. at one level i am alarmed by my own behaviour as i hail from a middle class family. my ques. are--- 1)as mercury is in the star of ketu will my mercury behave as ketu or how exactly am i to understand its working?(does it mean that my mercury dasa will be the same like my coming ketu dasa?) 2)what exactly are the effects of a combust mercury? 3)* my venus too is combust & in the star of ketu in my ninth house.do i apply the same rules to it as it is in the star of ketu? 4)will my combust mercury mean i won't be able to learn astrology properly? pls guide me as ur ans. would be really helpful thanx anusha
Guest guest
-- yes, the nakshatra ruler does influence the planet, so this makes you want to seek hidden mystical knowledge. combustion means that the external significations are damaged, but not the internal ones of the planet, since after all, the sun is the atmakaraka, it will not damage the internal qualities. and so with bhudha, you are intelligent, even more. with venus, you can give affection, even more. it is good that you are deleloping detachment, probably the best remedial measure for a bouble combustion. of course, i i dont know if your venus and bhudha are inn deep combustion, or just a bit combust only. bhudh mahadasha will not be exactly like the ketu one, since the house lordships will at least be different. otherwise, yes, there will be similarities, since also they are in the same house. kalidas - In , "anushavaidy82" <anushavaidy82> wrote: > > hello > > i am running my mercury dasha. my mercury is combust in my ninth > house of sagittarius. also it is conjoined with ketu. my mercury is > in the star of ketu(moolam).in my earlier period of saturn i was > better in my studies. in my navamsa my mercury is conjoined with > ketu in my 12th house of cancer. > right now i find it very difficult to concenterate. i m currently > doing my masters & not planning to study further even if i make upto > the req. marks. > my mind constantly seeks diversion esp. in the form of studying > astrology & subjects of reincarnation. right now i don't desire to > make much money. i only desire to have enough to manage on my own. > at one level i am alarmed by my own behaviour as i hail from a > middle class family. > > my ques. are--- > 1)as mercury is in the star of ketu will my mercury behave as ketu > or how exactly am i to understand its working?(does it mean that my > mercury dasa will be the same like my coming ketu dasa?) > 2)what exactly are the effects of a combust mercury? > 3)* my venus too is combust & in the star of ketu in my ninth > house.do i apply the same rules to it as it is in the star of ketu? > 4)will my combust mercury mean i won't be able to learn astrology > properly? > > pls guide me as ur ans. would be really helpful > thanx > anusha
Guest guest
You did not share your full data. You are probably reluctant in posting it publicly or maybe you were too distracted when you posted the following post, or whatever other maya might have made you do what you did. Combust mercury in a natal chart is a myth that many have perpeterated but no one challenged or provided proof for it being real. Often when examples are given, there emerge other negative factors which did not need the 'combustion' to hang their crutch on. Same is true for KSY and mangal dosh and similar bugbears. Not knowing your chart or details, just something springs out of my mind based on anecdotal evidence I have seen: You are not clear about what you should focus and concentrate upon and it is something that you need strongly before you can unleash your energies. In other words, if you cannot see the pool below clearly, you will simply not dive, even if it means holding the line up! Guest guest
Hello Rohiniji saheb. Hope you have been good all this while. I have a related question; even I have a combusted Mercury and I just started Mercury Mahadasha. I was just wondering if you could spare some time to just check how my Mercury Mahadasha is likely to be...... One important feedback I would want to give you here is that though I have been in a writing profession and have gained quite a success (I was working with Times of India at a very senior editorial position, and now in Canada I am working as a software technical writer), I am a very bad orator. Since I am not a very effective speaker, I think that it is because of combust Mercury. I am giving my details: Date of birth: June 1, 1966 Place of Birth: Baraut (40 Kms North of Delhi) Time of Birth: 5.35 AM My Lagna is Vrishabh (Taurus), and I have four planets in lagna--Mercury, Sun, Rahu and Mars. Mercury is the lord of 5th house. Thanks in advance Sir. Manoj --- "Rohini (Crystal Pages)" <rrgb wrote: > > You did not share your full data. Guest guest
Good and me? I thought you knew me ;-) See all my blasphemy at that Jyotish Groups site, all done just this evening! Not out of spite, but just because I can withstand hypocricy -- intellectual or otherwise, only so much! I truly believe that we carry within us the divine seed and all that the pious and confused souls have been telling us in speech and word is wrong. Slavery comes from untruth and I see jyotish in the clutches of that very untruth that our Revered Gandhiji, the Apostle of Truth tried to teach us, through his life and even through His death. UNLESS we are true and really open to the LIGHT that comes knocking at our door (human birth) as the call of jyotish/astrology would we ever ever know or even begin to be aware of what lies out there ...! Sometimes, those who have been dwelling in caves for lifetimes, need to feel that cool breeze and fresh scent of the world out there to realize that our destiny lies not in the comfortable cave of what has been for centuries but a perspective that makes us go out and look at the comfort of the *old* cave as just a launching point, but not the ultimate reality. For me personally, that has been what I have considered the jyotish classics, a launching point and not the ultimate resting place! May the Sages either bless me or destroy me for stating my mind -- I am open for either, because even they cannot touch the original SOUL that was released at the moment of CREATION! Manoj, You are right to some extent but wrong also! Combustion of mercury is not about closing doors, but about diversion, about chanellization. Retrograde planets often are trying to get our attention and asking us to try the different portals and expressions of the retrograde planets so that we can take a *different* course and express the planet's energies in a different way. If speaking is not your thing, try writing, or try sign language! Whatever it takes, just do not stop in your tracks and destroy a lifetime! Imagine a lifetime as a dog, trying to write or as a horse, trying to speak while knowing you could? (How many horses end up really as Mr. Ed?). Guest guest
dear sir thank u very much for having solved my doubts.ur reply has changed my perception of combust planets. i have one more ques. regarding the combustion of venus.is it combust only when it is retrograde or is it so even when its motion is direct? i once again thank u for solving my doubt, regards anusha , "mahakali108" <mahakali108> wrote: -- yes, the nakshatra ruler does influence the planet, so this makes you want to seek hidden mystical knowledge. > combustion means that the external significations are damaged, but > not the internal ones of the planet, since after all, the sun is the > atmakaraka, it will not damage the internal qualities. and so with > bhudha, you are intelligent, even more. with venus, you can give > affection, even more. > it is good that you are deleloping detachment, probably the best > remedial measure for a bouble combustion. > of course, i i dont know if your venus and bhudha are inn deep > combustion, or just a bit combust only. > bhudh mahadasha will not be exactly like the ketu one, since the > house lordships will at least be different. otherwise, yes, there > will be similarities, since also they are in the same house. > kalidas > > > - In , "anushavaidy82" > <anushavaidy82> wrote: > > > > hello > > > > i am running my mercury dasha. my mercury is combust in my ninth > > house of sagittarius. also it is conjoined with ketu. my mercury > is > > in the star of ketu(moolam).in my earlier period of saturn i was > > better in my studies. in my navamsa my mercury is conjoined with > > ketu in my 12th house of cancer. > > right now i find it very difficult to concenterate. i m currently > > doing my masters & not planning to study further even if i make > upto > > the req. marks. > > my mind constantly seeks diversion esp. in the form of studying > > astrology & subjects of reincarnation. right now i don't desire to > > make much money. i only desire to have enough to manage on my own. > > at one level i am alarmed by my own behaviour as i hail from a > > middle class family. > > > > my ques. are--- > > 1)as mercury is in the star of ketu will my mercury behave as ketu > > or how exactly am i to understand its working?(does it mean that > my > > mercury dasa will be the same like my coming ketu dasa?) > > 2)what exactly are the effects of a combust mercury? > > 3)* my venus too is combust & in the star of ketu in my ninth > > house.do i apply the same rules to it as it is in the star of ketu? > > 4)will my combust mercury mean i won't be able to learn astrology > > properly? > > > > pls guide me as ur ans. would be really helpful > > thanx > > anusha
Guest guest
dear rohini ji thank you for giving a general idea of the pitfalls one should avoid while learning & practising astrology. you are absolutely right in assuming that i was reluctant to post my details .you are also right about me not being focused enough. i will keep in mind ur advice on the path to learning astrology. i thank u once again for replying regards anusha , "Rohini (Crystal Pages)" <rrgb@s...> wrote: > > You did not share your full data.
