Sade sati effect on Kataka (Cancer)-DOUBT

For a Sade Sati, the transiting Saturn should be in 12th, same or 2nd

house to the NATAL Moon.

 

When Saturn goes into Cancer (Kataka), those having Janma Rasi as

Gemini, Cancer or Leo will be running Sade Sati.

 

For Gemini it will be the last 2.5 years, for Cancer it will be the

middle 2.5 years and for Leo it will be the first cycle of 2.5 years.

Currently transiting Saturn is in Gemini and will be entering into

Cancer next month.

 

The moon in your example is in Scorpio. The transiting Saturn is

neither in 12th, same or 2nd house as the NATAL moon. Therefore, there

is NO sade sati.

Sani. However, with the Saturn moving to Cancer next month, Kantaka

I have another doubt :-)

Incase with Cancer Asc, if moon is in 7th and saturn

is in 12th (gemini) then will saturn now become

kantaka sani. that is

Asc : Cancer : No planet

7th : Capricorn : Moon

12th:Gemini : Saturn

 

With the above combination, the sani will be kantaka

sani. What are effects of the same sani ?

Hi Angel,

 

The most difficult saturn transits are when saturn is transiting your natal

moon, transiting 4th house from your natal moon and transiting 7th house from

your natal moon. You mentioned your lagna is cancer and natal moon is in 7th

house in capricorn. During next two years when saturn will transit your cancer

lagna and it will oppose your natal moon in 7th house, you will experience

problems with women. This transit can also lead to temporary separation or

divorce if you are married. It can also effect your health as transit saturn

will aspect your lagna lord moon in capricorn in 7th house. It will be a lonely

time for you. Please see the degree of your natal moon in capricorn, you need to

be very careful when saturn comes to same degree in cancer.

 

In my opinion saturn transiting 7th house from natal moon is more bad than

ashthama shani.

Hi angel,

 

When you see saturn transits, you need to consider your moon sign also. For

example some one may have cancer lagna and moon in virgo in 3rd house. In that

case saturn transiting in cancer lagna will give good results because saturn

will be transiting 11th house from natal moon (very good).

 

The reason why it will be difficult for you is because your moon is in capricorn

in 7th house. So transit saturn will come directly opposite your moon. This is a

very difficult time.

Transits have limitations.What is not promised in the natal chart

cannot be overcome thro transits of planets.I trust you have

Please verify if my understanding is correct :-

 

SATURN transiting 12th,1st,2nd,7th and 4th from NATAL

moon will never be good. In this case transition from

12th,1st,2nd is sade-sathi phase which might bring

some material gains but over all it brings mental

anguish.

 

I would like to discuss more on this topic of saturn

transition.

 

I saw another chart with Leo Lagna and moon is present

in 5th (Sagi sign) THUS saturn is 8th from Moon so is

it ashtama sani.

 

I could not understand the satish ji's comments.

Saturn's transit is only considered beneficial if it is transiting

3rd, 6th or 11th from moon. However, this does not mean other transit

periods are necessarily going to be bad. Saturn is not considered

alone while checking the results of transits. Jupiter's transits are

always checked along. Jupiter's can counter any of the Saturn's

possible wrong "intentions". Transits of Rahu-Ketu axis and Mars

are important too.

 

However, as mentioned by another person, Dasa and Bhukti effects have

a major say in determination of results.

 

Best is to understand, why Saturn gives such results? Why has it been

given a role of "harbringer of sorrow"? What is nature trying to teach

us? What is the goal of life? Where are the planets taking us? Why

does Jupiter does good? What is "good" and what is "bad"? What is the

scale we choose to consider something good or bad?

 

For example, Jupiter is considered "good" as it generally fulfills

popularity, wealth and such desires within us. In doing so, it also

binds us to "good things in life". Saturn can shock us out of it.

Think about it.

 

This is only a primer. If you are keen you should learn the principles

behind it.

Dear Satish,

 

Moon is a very sensitive point in our charts. Saturn's aspects to natal moon are

so powerful that they sometimes override the dasha and bhukti also. If the dasha

is good then it may be less damaging. But if the dasha is very bad then it is

really very bad.

Saturn is very bad when it transits 1st, 4th and 7th house from natal moon,

because from these positions it afflicts natal moon, and moon is a very

sensitive point in our charts. If the dasha/bhukti is good at that time, then it

may be less damaging. But if the dasha bhukti is also bad, and at the same time

Jupiter, rahu, and ketu are also transiting 8th or 12th house from natal moon

then it is very evil time. Ofcourse it also varies depending upon strength of

planets in your birth chart.

hi! all,

are we forgetting the ashtam shani, which people even refer to as

mini sade saati,when we are talking about the bad transits of saturn.

in cidentally cancer is ashtam from my natal moon.can somebody

enlighten me about the effects of ashtam shani in detail.

Hi all

 

Incase someone has asthama sani but dasha period

lorded by "JUPITER" which is retrograde in the

horoscope.what will be effects (good/bad/moderate)?

 

On top of all this, the sub-lord of dasha is saturn

then what will happen - it is complicated. BUT the

topic is interesting,can we discuss in more details

You are talking of two separate issues.1 Dasa/antardasa. 2 gochar

i.e xsit of saturn. correct assessment should be done with totality

of horoscope all the planetary positions,aspects etc etc.

time meter is very important.
