I am waiting to find an example of combustion alone being

incontroversially being the only factor responsible or significantly

responsible for the weak or malefic expression of the combust planet

in a natal chart!

I am the good example of it; I have Mercury completed

combusted in the first house, and the combust

expression of M<ercury is quite apparent; I am very

bad at speaking\oratory\and expressing myself

verbally; though I have been in a writing profession

throughout.

Sir,

You may post it on the list or you may even write me

privately; whatever you deem would be appropriate; I

have no preference at all on this; however, I have

this feeling that people would be greatly benefitted

by the findings of the astrologer of your calibre if

you post it on the list; I leave it to your

discretion.

BTW, just to let you know, I have worn 4.5 carat of

Emerald about a month before or so. It cost me a

fortune ($ 1400), but I still thought I would go for

it.

Namaste Ranjan

Just a thought, perhaps you can also share your thoughts. Combustion

is coming very near to Sun, in which way the effect of the planet

becomes negligible in front of the powerhouse Sun. It is like a

lightbulb trying to shine next to the whole light and heat of the Sun.

I do not think the power that planet decreases in any way. It just is

overpowered by the power of the Sun.

I leave this interesting discussion open to other members.

Libra Acsendents and all the three constellations related to Venus will

certainly have something uncommon.venus is no doubt a most important planet and

Here is one more case for study for Venus combustion, its my own chart,

since I am not qualified much in astrology. I will not make comments here. I

have been running Venus -Venus dasha for past 1 year, I can tell you how it

was and see if it matches the comments made by astrologers here.

DOB 25-11-1974

TIME : 06:10

Place : JAIPUR - Rajasthan

Sun - DK 8 Sc 51' 15.14" Anu

Venus - PiK 13 Sc 26' 52.30" Anu

Both are in 2nd House.

Also there is exchange between 1st and 2nd house lords.

*Note on Combustion*

*Eclipse is the phenomena whereby the rays of a planet are prevented from

reaching the earth due to its proximity to the Sun. For this to happen, the

planet must be (a) behind the Sun and (b) in the same latitude as the Sun.

Combustion is like an eclipse with the difference that criteria (a) alone

applies i.e. the planet must be within combustible range of the Sun and

behind it. All planets, except Venus are said to be behind the Sun during

their direct motion. Thus, all planets are combusted when they are in direct

motion and within the combustion range. Venus is the only exception, which

is combust when in retrograde motion*.
