Also - not knowing the native, I would point one to the 12th from Karakamsa to find the Ishtadevata, and start with the blessings of the Ishta. If this is not attractive, ( why I would not know) I then would look to the to rasi that holds Ketu , which is always opposite Rahu. Rahu , as all the Jyotishi's on this list ( and sisya's as I consider my self) know that Rahu is the natural Badhak ( obstructor) for all horoscopes. Ketu is the Moksha Karaka and Ganesha ( Jai Sri Ganesh) Is the remover of obsticles .... So for each sign there is a Mantram associated with Ketu's position. THe Narada Purana lists the 12 names of Ganesa ( in the Ganapati Stotra). If this is of interest I will post the 12 names and signs for each.
