Guest guest
Om Krishna Guru Namaste Raj, I have received few requests in the past from some members for me to write more on the Balarishta area, so I thought of sharing my understanding with them, taking your request as an example. Raj, I am focusing on the Balarishta only,as it took me a lot of time to analyse and write about your son's Balarishta area itself and my time is very limited, so you may have to request some one else for rest of your questions. I have learned the following Balarishta assesment method and principles from Visti Ji's (teaching from 2004 West Coast confernce), and also my own study on this area. If I am making any wrong application of the principles, please take them as my shortcoming in my understanding rather than their teachings. Having said that, let us get started. First of all let us understand what is Balarishta. After taking the birth it is not uncommon that some newly arrived native's are met with terrible circumstances in the form of dangers, disease or even death. The possibility of premature death follows the native, until the 24th year has passed from the time of birth. The methods of ascertaining the longevity of the native are inapplicable to a person below this age. These 24 years are termed as: Balarishta from 0-12 years, and Yogarishta between 12-24 years. Sage Parasara later states that the Balarishta span is 8 years and Yogarishta is 12 years (9-20 years of age). Hence for a native of 8 years of age or younger the principles of Balarishta are fully applied, and the normal methods for calculating longevity such as Pindayu, etc, do not apply. Having understood what is Balarishta, now me explain principles which causes the Balarishta and also those principles which cancles Balarishta in this chart as an example. I have considered the following birth details for this analysis:- April 23, 2004 Time: 14:58:00 Time Zone: 5:30:00 (East of GMT) Place: 78 E 47' 00", 10 N 04' 00" Karaikkudi, India In Rasi Chart, Leo Lagna is rising and its lord Sun is placed in 9th house with Rahu. Rahu (7th lord) is also aspecting lagna by Graha Drishti. Jup (Vakra) the 5th and 8th lord is placed in Lagna. This Jup is aspecting the Lagna Lord sun and Rahu by Graha Drishti and also by Rasi Drishti. First of all we have to see the Sun's placement in the child's chart to assess the vitality. Here the Sun is placed in trines and it is a good placement except Rahu's placement with him is not quite desirable, but we will see that later in this analysis. The next thing, we should see is the, the Lord of the weekday and this native was born on Friday and Vaara Lord is Ven. You will notice that, this Ven is 3rd and 10th lord and placed in the 10th house with Mandi, Gulika and Mar(4th and 9th lord) and Moon(12th Lord). So this combination and placements are not very good and resulting some suffering to the native. Rahu is aspecting the Lagna, 3rd, 5th and 10th houses, so this indicates to me that some health problems are seen in this native's chart. Janma Nakshatra is Rohini and I am not going into the various Gandhanta's as that would be a separate reading itself and for now, I am focusing on balaraishta's and let me continue from that point of view. Among the most important factors in judging balaraishta, the Moon is the key point of focus. So, next we have to see the sustenance of the native from Moon's placement. Here the Moon is 12th lord and placed in 10th house, so that is a good placement. Gulika and Mandi are also with Moon. Rahu is aspecting this Moon by Graha Drishti. Fortunatly, this Rahu is in Marana Karaka Sthana, so overal this indicates to me that, there would be some minor issues with the health of the native but no threat to the native's life at all. Jupiter is also known as Jeeva, which means life force. The weakness of Jupiter in the chart can prove detrimental towards the life force of the native, if neither the Sun nor the Moon is strong in the chart. But here Sun is not that strong and Jup is placed in Lagna aspecting the 5th house (own house) and Sun its disposotor too. Event though Jup is Vakra, he is considerably stonger than sun, hence confirming the jeeva is strong. Having seen the Sun, Moon, Jup and Lagna lord are promising average health, now let us see the 8th and 10th houses to see the balarishta too. 8th lord is Jup(Vakra) is placed in Lagna. 10th lord is Ven who is placed in 10th house. So these are showing no problems or threat to the native's life. On the top of the above good indications, the placement of Jup in the Lagna will eliminate any or all evils will be destroyed just as the Sun eliminates darkness and will protect the native. Summary : So in this Chart, Jup is placed in Lagna which will protect the native and nothing to worry at all and he will be fine when the Jup Antar Dasa starts after Sep 23rd 2006. Hope the above is helpful. Regards Raghunatha Rao --- original message --- vedic astrology/message/59701 "Raj" <rajpandyan_73 Thu Jul 7, 2005 7:00 am Can somebody help me...??? Dear Gurus..
