Guest guest
Dear friend these days it has become a fashion to float or write about mantras on the net and advising people to chant those mantras. THERE IS A GOLDEN RULE. A mantra can only be given by a guru (this guru can be any learned one) and then only it would work as a mantra otherwise it is just uttering abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz. Also the person who wish to jaap a particular mantra needs to consult his guru or a learned pandit and take guropadesh (not on phone or net) by visiting in person and after consulting as to which mantra suits his existing problem. The guru should also be learnt enough to indicate the number of times this mantra has to be chanted after which it attains sidhi. generally mantras attain sidhi after chanting of thousands, lakhs or even crores of times. even after attaining sidhi, to use them, one needs to perform something and also recite something. a mantra does not give power just by recital as is the popular belief. Even the most popular navagraha mantras written on the walls of all navagraha temples need to be recited as many thousands as their mahadasa cycles are. there are several more navagraha mantras which are difficult to pronounce and their numbers also varry. On part of the masters, imparting a mantra to a shishya is a sacred act which needs to be respected with the reverence it deserves. With best wishes arjun anil <bindal wrote: Dear Srikant ji, Pl. advise on Maha Mrityunjay Mantra..what is the best vidhi to do jaap ? how many times.. ?? who can do jaap of this ?? can he listen to its CDs.. do we need to do something on oncoming Shira Ratri in August..?? Guest guest
Dear Arjun ji, A relation established between a seeker (of knowledge) and a preacher(willing to imaprt/dessiminate the knowledge) is as good as a teacher(if meant for Guru) of course he is an elder person having wisdom and experience and a Shishya(if meant for a person who has come up in pursuit of learning). Since our medium is through a Net, we have an advantage and dis advantage. The advantage is you are in immediate reach of the needy ones.Disadvantage ofcourse is that you can not distinguish the one who is really intersted in seeking/learning the knowledge and the whether one (ever ready) to only interrogate to satisfy himself and his knowledge. So we have to bear with the situation and willing to disseminate the information.Be it a mantra for remedy purpose or otherwise. If we are ready to understand this connectivity and keep trust and faith(as considering as jyotish) perfectly we are in the right place to take initiative and respond for the situation and onus. As far as these preachings ability to give results or pacify the individual it depends not only on the guru but the person's sincerity, trust and need.If this condition is also of some contentment(for the needy) to the concerned we hope that we have won the confidence and able to his mind and put him on the track to fulfil his wish/desire. The other point is about: THERE IS A GOLDEN RULE. A mantra can only be given by a guru (this guru can be any learned one) and then only it would work as a mantra" all these issues are difficult to really assess(for the one who is on the other side). But Faith is the most important the requiste and initiation is the second most fulfilment But it is true every thing neds orderliness and discipline if we have to obtain advantage and gain the benifit. May be you are near to truth when you say: has become a fashion to float or write about mantras on the net The power of electronic media certainly brings a distrubance to the conservativeness(at least at one time when Guru is difficult to be identified) and makes things lighter than they deserve to be. It looks all our ancient wisdom and culture is now available at our door step and ready for a grab. Difficult to think on these lines and reconcile to these facts. But the silent invasion of technology is fact before all of us and we have no choice except to digest and go with the wind. krishnan arjun pandit <panditarjun2004 wrote: Dear friend these days it has become a fashion to float or write about mantras on the net and advising people to chant those mantras. Guest guest
Dear friend krishnanji your highlighting IT revolution bringing mantras closer to the netizens is appreciated. however, my reaction was specific to the question of mahamrityunjaya mantra which many people do not know. the real one which is much longer one than what is played in casettes and cds in zooming cars and on tv channels. that one attained sidhi by sage sukracharya who brought back to life countless rakshasas. One has to consent that even if a mantra is placed in the net for free reading by all, its pronounciation is not known unless there is a voice file. there are many mantras where in one letter of the mantra three difficult letters need to be pronounced. unless the guru repeats it till the satisfaction that the seeker is reciting the correct pronounciation, it is just like abcd. While more popular mantras of shiva, ram and krsihna are already in practice by millions of Indians, the real problem in pronounciation comes when dealing with bigger mantras. Also the seekers do not know the number of recitals to attain sidhi and start complaining that the suggestion of reciting this or that mantra did not yield results. Sometime ago, one person got Ravan Samhita and started reading various stambhan, uchhatan and maran mantras which are highly counter-productive and then advised him to stop doing so. So, while chanting "long live IT evolution" we still need to respect the very basic foundation of our holy divine science and the divinity in it and mantras cannot be floated just like that on the net which may earn the giver the sin of "apatra daan". i respect freedom of speech and if someone create a website allmantras.com and post all the mantras in the world freely on a net, i do not criticise it any further. Guest guest
Dear Arjun ji, Flooded requests and plethora of willing Gurus to acceed to any request by culling out from the Wisdom Sciences become sensational in the changed environment puts back question to netizens/ Gurus who impart/dispense teaching" to train the minds properly and prepare them " before giving prescriptions and suggesting remedies. It is more a self discipline to those who are willing to preach(giver) and decide:"which may earn the giver the sin of "apatra daan".The new opportunities have brought several maladies that needed a selective and guarded approach to desseminate the essentials of reverred subjects. 'mrityunjaya mantram" in a poetic form/verses if any individual recites a word of caution can be prefixed to recite with proper Uccharana(pronounciation). But then you can not help the Cristna cult that dawned on the planet through"hare ram hare kishan cult".let's not willingly dispense vedic remedies that lead to evil situations and negative influences. This is possible with proper and detailed"R/x" than to hand down by down loads(requests).Even netizens(in the garb of Gurus) consider the requests properly and react. The learning process can never end. krishnan arjun pandit <panditarjun2004 wrote: Dear friend krishnanji your highlighting IT revolution bringing mantras closer to the netizens is appreciated. however, my reaction was specific to the question of mahamrityunjaya mantra which many people do not know. the real one which is much longer one than what is played in casettes and cds in zooming cars and on tv channels. that one attained sidhi by sage sukracharya who brought back to life countless rakshasas.
