Guest guest
Dear Mark, Nice reply from you. "I DON'T DOUBT THAT SOME PEOPLE'S ASTROLOGICAL REALITIES ARE MORE CONDUCIVE TO CHANGEING ONE'S WAYS.... HOWEVER I BELIEVE ALL CONFIGURATIONS HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR MAKING THOSE IMPORTANT PERSONAL IMPROVEMENTS.... AND IN FACT, THESE, ARE THE REAL PURPOSES OF OUR BIRTHS...." There are numerious ways of self transformation. Well known among them are the ways of Karma Yoga(Action as the means of transformation) Bhakti Yoga(Emotion and Love as the means of transformation), Jnana Yoga(Knowledge as the means of transformation), Vigyana Yoga(Intellectual development/ development of a rationalist thought pattern) etc. Dear M.Tripathy: Well said! Not only are there these great systems of self-improvement from Ved, but our Astrology charts, themselves.... so the exact planets that need to be strengthened! The people inclined towards method of Knowledge as the preferred way of self-transformation generally prefers Jyotisha/Astrology as a means of self-transformation. I think because Jyotish contains all the other aspects of Ved, from mantras in the 5th house, to Ayurved in the 6th, to Yoga, and Yaguas, etc.... This may be why they describe Jyotish as the 'eye of the Ved'. Strong malefics in trines/ angles influencing the Lagna/Ascendant makes individual leading to self-transformation only after going through painful realisation of the materialistic acheivement, as they are more materialistic(so called practical) in their approach towards life. Such sort of people in spite of getting a good forewarning from an honest astrologer are seen to be falling into the preordained trap of their own past actions. I find the most helpful thing I've learned from Jyotish, is not only do our charts... explain exactly why we have our unique and specific problems....but.... our charts also explain exactly the planets, and in which time periods, we're meant to self-improve. Perhaps for this reason at the beginning of his Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra, Sage Parasara has warned that the knowledge of jyotish need not be offered to such people who has no faith on self-transformation through the wisdom of Jyotish. I think it's true for all seekers, unless they're ready to face their own problems, no knowledge will really work. Nice talking with you.
