Dear Friends,

Some how I was refering to some Astrological books/magazines and could lay my

hand on a A.M which refers to Prasno pansihad and has clear reference to

reproduction.

Infact when the whole world was ingnorant about craetion of human life it was

discovered by our ancient sages and recorded the facts in a very difficult

language.

Even sloka 19 and 20 of Chapter 78 of Brihat Samhita deal with ferilisation in

women can be diagnosed(anlysis of menustral flow)

Also they have given the basis for formation of male and female child(sloka23)

based on the position of foetus.

Further great caution was also exercised in begetting children.Astrology has all

fundamentals of conception. They have to knowledge to plan for sex( without DNA

tests harmful to mother and scanning)

This theory was developed based on moon as well as mensrtaion of women and it's

link to fertilisation process:

16th day of menustration: a scholarly boy

15th day:satwic girl

14th day:satwic boy

13th day: bad natured girl

12th day: intelligent boy

11th ugly girl

10th day :kingly natured boy

9th day: beatiful girl

8th day: impotent boy

7th day: afemale child but barren

Thus nature of child also could be predicted based on conception as above.

let's us really join in appreciating the wisdom behind all these writings:

<<<How genius were they to anticipate techno advances>>>KAD is absolutely right

when he says like this.

Sages have many more revealations only problem is the language of vedic times

..It always gave different meanings :one for lay man and the other for scholarly.

It is not at all correct to pronounce and underscore our great heriatage. They

found answers for every thing even now science is still grappling and unable to

come up with proper answers.

<<I wonder what the sages would say about using invitro

fertization>>>

This is no wonder as the insemination process is by aided means and based on lab

facilities.

yet conception and delivery of child remained the same

Dear Arjun,

Thanks for understanding my words. Exactly as you say, any vedic

process - may not be only rituals - were started for a great cause,

which we really are unaware of. All we debate on is just on our

perception of the 'existing form' of Vedic practice we see, hear,

learn and understand. When we are at the stage of just

anticipating 'what they were', it is incorrect to brand them as

orthodox or 'just written in books' or useless.

posts, few members had observed their scepticism in rituals. arya

saved in the dreaded gasleak decades ago only because of their daily

havan which did not allow killer gases to land onto them and their

These days relate to reproductive cycle of a woman who undergoes

menustration. The days indicated there in refer to after monthly course of

menarchy.I

A woman's menarche onset and continuation has very strong relation to moon and

mars in any case
