Guest guest
dear friend anilji while appreciating your invention of a perfect astrological software and astrology was made easy by modern technology like computers where with just entering dob, tob and pob, the entire past, present and future is ready at the click of a mouse (machine doing everything), to brand the manual panchangs as horrible is disrespectful. imagine in those days, when there were no calculators (forget computers) they took pains in preparing these great gifts to the astrologer community. All original astrology scriptures are in sanskrit in the form of verses, now researchers and eminent astrologers have made it simple to understand by preparing tables, graphs, charts etc. but they never denigrate the original texts as horrible to understand. yes it takes few hours to calculate manually, but that is how all vimosttari was calculated for time immemorial and the same is practiced even now but with the help of a computer. my only request is that in the rush to praise the modern technology, we shall not disrepct the very scriptures and our forefathers who took all pains in making these things available to us. in some other postings, few members found jupiter inferior even to a malefic like ketu and also cited number of cases where jupiter has been found malefic and most harming to the native. i find even that as a disrespect (only with reference to planet jupiter) because jupiter is the most auspicious and benefic planet in the system who is not an enemy to any planet and who is the karak of five important houses of wealth, education/children, marriage, fortune/religion, profession and income. he not only does good to the house he is in but also casts his benefic aspect on three more houses and on the planets in those houses so much so that even a malefic planet's negative affect gets reduced with jupiter's aspect. when jupiter is weak, debilitated or in dushthana or afflicted by a malefic planet's combustion or aspect, the native does not get good results but even then an astrologer states that the native is not getting this or that because of the weak or debiliated jupiter and never term jupiter a malefic. that is the respect given to either planet jupiter or to guru. with best wishes arjun Anil Vsnl <gogatea wrote: Dear Anil, You are right , olden days pachangs ( ephemeris ) used to have horrible printing and calculation errors , hence we used to make use of Raffel's ephemeris ( which were Sayan system based ) and deduct the Ayanamsha from it for getting accurate results. Guest guest
Arjun ji, Same here. I donot mean to respect any knowledge. Interpretation of any chart means a lot to native, but chart itself should be accurate..all i wanted to ask was how do we ensure panchang/software being used is error free... is there any regulatory body which certifies panchang or softwares ?? regards anil , Anil Vsnl <gogatea@v...> wrote: > Dear Arjun Panditji, > > I belong to old era of astrologers and have spend painful hours after hours in doing manual calculations for making accurate horoscopes.
