I have a friend of whom i m studying the chart .He has

Deep Combust mercury and venus in 11th house along

with sun. is it playing a significant role i his life

can u pls explain .Also can u tell how is his Future?i

m also studying let me know i m goin correctly or not?

..Also can u tell me the placement of Mars in 9th

house[Ownsign] Can take him away from his own mother

land for some years ?

Dear Sonia,

Deep combustion of Mercury and Venus is harmful for their houses

(3rd, 4th, 7th and 8th) and creates frustration for their external

significations (communications, writing, etc. for Mercury, love,

arts, luxuries, etc. for Venus).

 

On the positive side, their qualities are deeply ingrained in the

individual and are part of their basic sense of identity. So, they

are very kind, charming, artistic and friendly from Venus combust,

and intelligent, light-hearted and communicative from Mercury.

Mercury and Venus closely conjunct also generally indicate musical

ability.

 

The Sun is very much enhanced by being closely hemmed between these 2

benefics. It's significations of dignity, generosity, father, etc.

and the 6th house, which it rules, should be strongly benefited.

 

Mars in Scorpio in 9th I'd think can definitely incline the native

toward distant travels especially since he has benefic 1st/10th lord

Jupiter in the 12th house of foreign residence, as well.

 

Another factor playing into distant travel is that he is just

beginning Rahu's dasa. Rahu tends to make people attracted to all

things foreign. So, it's quite likely that he will travel to foreign

lands at some point during its dasa (which lasts, incidentally, until

2021).

 

Rahu dasa for him may place a strong emphasis on making money as Rahu

is natally in the 2nd house and is also a planet known for strong

desires. Rahu will also express itself through 9th house matters

like higher education and distant travels, so those matters, too,

should be very important at present.

 

A common occurrence with the beginning of Rahu's dasa is some sort of

shocking loss or tragedy, so some event of this nature may have taken

place since Dec 2003 when Rahu's dasa began. Rahu also just

transited its natal position in the 2nd house. It was conjunct

during August of last year, so some difficulty related to 2nd house

matters like family life, wealth, knowledge, face or speech may

likely have occurred (though, hopefully, did not.)
