Guest guest
Om Sreem Mahalakshmiei Namaha Dear Gurujis and Learned Friends, Namasthe. Could you throw some light on which dasa system to be used for the following native. DOB: August 10, 1972 18:34 PM Bangalore I am thinking it is Vimsottari, since he was born on Sukla Paksha at dusk. Also what are the rules for following diffrent dasa systems. And do the dasas complement each other or are they exclusive. Or for certain charts do they operate exclusively? Guest guest
Sir, The most reliable and consisitent dasa system is vimsottari and is also time tested.where as other dasa systems not exclusive but application oriented and lead more to precision. It is always preferable and advisable to colate dasa anlysis with other methods and the revealations mostly prove to be having similarities. In the case of the jatak,120years of vimsottari helps intially to understand progression but specig purposes yogini mudda dasa is also useful. krishnan padmanu <padmanu wrote: Om Sreem Mahalakshmiei Namaha Dear Gurujis and Learned Friends, Namasthe. Guest guest
With the kind and indulgent permission of Gurujis and others I offer my two cents, there are many recommendations including what have been known as 'conditional' dashas (ashtottari etc which BPHS provides reference to) and some that are general. Vimshottari, Kalachakra, Yogini, Chara fall within that category. Vimshottary is probably the most widely studied and utilized. In regions of India, other dasha have been more in vogue. To complicate matters, at least two of these, Chara and Kalachakra (and a few others as well) have some variable or alternative calculations suggested recently (decades vs centuries hence recent!). Focus on one dasha, make sure it works reasonably reliably in your hands. Often, it is not a direct manifestation of effects -- dasha of 6th lord would not give results pertaining to 6th house -- in vimshottari for instance. That is where KP/Meena's recommendation for using nakshatra dispositorship throws new light. Once you have figured this out and ayanamsha etc is working in your hands, add another dasha and see if you get a concordance, then add a third one. With two or three dashas used consistently, you will begin to see some commonalities and also would be able to find 'stronger' effects based on confirmation between dashas. Don't get so hung up on dashas that you forget all about transits and ashtakavargas.
