Purchasing stones from an authorised certified retailer is a good option, but there the stones are normally very costly, the overhead costs and taxes are also included. If you want stones in bulk, go to jaipur. For one stone, the nearest jweller is the best option. You can always catch him if there is some fault with the stone.
