Dear Group

Vedic numerology is very scientific and has been a secret for many

ages. It is tricky to calculate one's vedic number, but once

mastered, it works wonders.

There are quite a few vedic numerology systems, the most popular

being Katapayadi system.

The Katapayadi system was used in Jaimini Rishi(Seer) works. He wrote

a classic called Jaimini Sutras, that are cryptic and hence difficult

to decipher. After years of research it was found that he used

Katapayadi system to write the book.

Now vedic numerology supposes that everything has originated from

AUM. The primordial sound. This sound can be heard when you are

hearing traffic sound from distance, the refirgerator sound, the

sound of roar, the sound of crowd, the sound in deep meditation.

There are 7 Groups

Sun group-A, AA, E, EEE, oo, oooo, ye, YAi, o, OU, AM, AHA

Mars group-Ka, Kha, Ga, Gha, Inya

Venus group-Cha, CHCha, Ja, Jha, ing

Mercury group:-Ta, Tha, Da, Dha, Una(Palatial, touching the top )

Jupiter group:-Ta, Tha, Da, Dha, Na(Dental, touching the teeth)

Saturn group:-Pa, pha, ba, bha, Ma(from the lips)

Moon group:-Ya, ra, la, va, sha, SHA, SA, HA

Now every letter or sound is alloted a number. Ka is 1, Kha is 2 etc

For example let us take Partha(my name)

Pa-1

Tha-7

Thus it is 17

But in katapayadi system one should reverse this figure. It comes to

71, and then you should divide by 12, remainder is 11 which is

Aquarius(there are 12 zodiac signs, aquarius is 11th sign)

Thus people think i am an eccentric and intellectual Aquariun, a

Uranus kind of Guy.

But in reality i am a Sagittariun(Sun sign, as well as vedic chart).

Dear Partha Sarathy ,

Some questions . Why are you leaving the R in your name out in counting ?

What happens when there are longer names like say Mahamayaprasadsingh , how

do you apply Katyapayadi system to the same ?

Thanks in advance for the clarification .

Regards ,

Dear Urvija

In vedic numerology, we have to look for sounds and not the stops.

What i mean is that there should be a sound after the consonant for

it to be counted for a vedic number.

For example in my name Partha, there is a sound A after P. But R is

joined with THA. Thus we have to consider THA only and not the R, as

there is no vowel after R.

Even when we have long names, we can still use Katapayadi system. But

are you sure that when a person has a long name, he will be called by

that Name?

What is important is the name by which we are called, and that

decides everything. Even though I am Partha Sarathy, people call me

Partha.

Dear Anan

You have to reverse the number in katapayadi system

786, reverse is 687,

Now you have to divide it by 12, the remainder is 3, which shows

Gemini. Now go back to Natal chart and see where gemini is. This

shows how name impacts the life of Sujata

Dear Shri Partha sarathy,

Namaste and thank you very much the prompt guidance.

Here again I ask you as to how the ABC is to be added to the name to make it

beneficial which may sanchronise with the beneficial planet . When the vowels

are zero, then how is that many so called numerologist advise for adding A or

any other vowel in the name. I will be thankful, if you could spare your

precious time to explain for the guidance.

Further, this is another query. After making the horoscope, some astrologers do

fine tuning, which they call as Bhav Spasht, thereby taking the ascendant degree

as the centre of house and all the houses will have same degree as their centre.

Therby the planets as shown in the horoscope change the house i.e go back houses

or remain in the same house. I am a novice and will like your guidance as to how

to do that.Thanking you. .

Yours

Shakula

Dear Partha,

It is good that you are so enthusiastic now a days; but please

let your enthusiasm not to go too far to make 'your idea' a

general rule in astrology. For eg, the following in your post:

>>But if a virgo lagna or a pisces Lagna person is called by partha,

>>then the name falls in a dusthana for them. And they suffer because

>>of that.

I completely disagree with your statement above; please be

careful when you mention such things on a public net group.

Your words can misguide a lay man easily, though I know that

your intention is good.

This need not be taken too personal; the general idea is to

check unnnecessary new astro-dicta creeping up.

Hope wise members here support my stand!

yours humbly

KAD

Dear Kad

I have seen some opposition in this group for anything or everything,

it seems to be a trend. Let me remind you that i was not born

yesterday, or started getting enthusiastic all of a sudden. If you

check archives, i was a member here long time ago. I have been

posting on various groups since years and i was a silent member in

this particular forum. I know what i am doing. If you dont agree to

my views it is fine, but doesnot mean that the technique that i

propogated is flawed. The technique is not a new one and finds

mention in classics(Jaimini Sutras). There is a scientific basis for

naming and i was pointing that out.

There are many vedic numerology systems that i have not invented or

discovered. They are already there in many jyotish classics , all i

am doing is showing an example.

I am not a novice nor have i learnt astrology in 6 months. I have

studied it for the past 15 years, and also practiced it for the same

length of time. The astro groups are not really for laymen, they are

for astrology students and teachers. These techniques are given out

with pure intention of teaching and helping astrology students to

apply them on various charts and come to conclusion. If a layman is

getting affected, that is not my headache.

Best Regards

Partha

Dear Partha,

Please do not be annoyed. Even though I too have received

criticism from some members including Kad, I take them as tools to force myself

to improve. Such astrological discussions always include and should include

criticism.

Kad and others are all eager to find the truth and the best methods in

astrology. I appreciate their knowledge and their efforts.

You are very valuable to all of us.

Re: Vedic Numerology

Dear Ashutosh

Your name reminds me of a dear friend in my school.

I agree that healthy criticism is good for improvement. But i would

not like personal comments or derogatory comments such as misleading

public , misleading people etc. This hurts genuine contributors. How

much time we spend on ressearch all is rubbished in few lines. That

is what irkes me. How can a person rubbish a technique without

working on it. And what about misleading people, do you think i have

no other work except sharing my knowledge. What do i gain my sharing

knowledge, nothing.

I gain nothing in giving away knowledge that i gained from my

ancestors, from my guru and from what i researched. Atleast that

should be kept in mind before hitting the send button.

Best Regards

Partha

Dear Partha,

It is sad that you misunderstood my message! I am not against

the principles or theories you are sharing with the group.

My comment is not at your experience, nor knowledge but on

the style and emphasis in your posts, which can influence

the learners and seekers here in a great manner.

I do not want to recognize myself in the row of astrologers

who have already found the TRUTH; I am always a humble seeker.

Nobody is master of any branch of knowledge here! All are

learners and all specialize in their own way! But my concern

is - the specializations should not mess up the sanctity and

the originality of the subject; because I AM concerned about

the lay man who is finally affected by all these!

-Specifically, I do not want any one to have a feeling that

any person with name Partha and with Meena/Kanya lagna is

going to suffer due to his name.(eg.from your post)

hope you can understand and do not mis-understand this time,

yours

KAD
