Guest guest
Dear Balaji, I started studying Sarvatobhadra Chakra from the classic work - JaatakaPhaladeepikaa of Mantreshvara; it was a good start. And I started collecting information - in traces - from other ancient and medieval works on Muhurta and Gochara of planets. Panchashalaaka and Saptashalaaka Vedha chakras are the more ancient forms of SBC and primitive in nature. VEDHA is an affliction/aspect/relation within nakshatras. SHALAAKA is the line drawn to represent the chakra. In Pancha-Shalaaka Vedha Chakra, FIVE vertical and horizontal lines intersecting at right angles are drawn. This looks lika a square table without perimeter. On that two lines joining diagonals are drawn two times, one beside the other parallel to each other i.e. like a square having double lines for its each diagonal! Totally, thus 14 lines are drawn and result in 28 points for which, each Nakshtra is allotted strating from Krittika at First point of North East corner. The stars are said to have Vedha on opposite ends of lines. Sapta-Shalaaka Vedha Chakra is constructed by drawing SEVEN vertical and horizontal lines intersecting at right angles. The 28 stars are assigned from Krittika at the first Eastern point. Vedha is said to exist on opposite ends of each line. As one can see, this is the basis for SBC and its 3 Vedhas for each star. If one removes SBC's perimeter, the resulting matrix will be 7 X 7 whose skeleton is Sapta Shalaaka Vedha Chakra! Matrices are always interesting! Hope you know of Jaina work "Siribhoovalaya" in old KannaDa language. yours humbly KAD , Balaji Narasimhan <sherlockbalaji> wrote: > Kad Rudra Ji, > > Many thanks for the comments! > > <<<I too am trying to formulate a method of distribution of > nations on SBC or PanchaShalaka/SaptaShalaka Vedha Chakra, so > that it is easy to pin point the nation and the direction on the > hitlist!>>> > > Best of luck!
