Guest guest
Dear friend, >From ancient sources on astrology- Astakavarga seems to be a compleste and all encompassing system of prediction. However it is given the least importance in decisive matters like prasna- owing to non-availability of the basic materials on use and application of Astakavarge in Astrological treaties. --------------------------- I am just sharing the little experience I have. (1)Please calculate Astakavarga on point to point basis rather than calculating it sign to sign or house to house basis (this is my personal view) (2) Please use some sort of Sodhana(deduction/ addition) to points arrived at for planets in exaltation sign/ debilition sign, for combust planets, planets that are eclipsed by Nodes and that are in Mritavastha or Bridhavastha - (3) Use care and discretion in Ekadhipatya Sodhana/Trikona Sodhana- it may not always be compulsory- it is just done to turn the big numbers to small and comfortable looking numbers- so better avoid it- as per my personal experience (4) You can modify the Astakavarga bindu arrived at on the basis of the house/bhava where these points accumulate (5) Rather than starting the Prastara Astakavarga from 0 degree of every sign, you can calculate it from the Mahadasa lord's degree position and get more accurate results (6) Integrate the principle of Astakavarge into stellar dispositor theory of Sage Satyacharya (Meena's Nadi/KP) (7) The principle of Argala/ Rasi Drishti/Graha Drishti can also be blended into it to arrive at a more conclusive and clear picture of things. As regards books, you can start with any good book such as that By Dr. B.V. Raman(Shri Rajeshwari Publications, Bangalore) Dr. P.S. Shastri(Ranjan Publication, New Delhi) and the book titled 'Dots of Destiny' by Rajiv Jhanji With best wishes, Mandakini --------------------------- jyotimac for astrology or marriage and children -- , Raghunatha RaoNemani <raon1008> wrote: > > Om Krishna Guru > > Namaste All, > > I would like to study a bit more deeper on "Ashtaka Varga" and its applications in Natal and Prashna. > > In this process, I would like to get some available Books & Literature.
