Guest guest
Back in my young days, when I really and youthfully believed with all my might that there were hidden pockets of gems in jyotish -- combinations that were not readily revealed and if only we could find those formulae and combinations, suddenly wonderful secrets would be revealed which will be based on astrologic and nothing other than that, one of the sayings in the regions where Pandit Suryanarayan Vyas and Shri S.G. Khot practised and in Kashi, etc. this was one of the sayings, "Uchcha planets have neecha drishti and ...". Somehow, despite my impertinent insistence (I was a lot less impertinent back then but I have learned to be otherwise since my 'spring chicken' days much to my benefit overall) none of the doyens came very strongly with the converse (... and neecha planets have uccha drishti!) so their hesitancy made me wonder. I have not very rigorously followed this concept of uccha planets in opposition (literally in a chart and effect-wise) so will not make a strong comment or observation as I would not be qualified to do so in this area. However, a chart immediately sprung to attention. Unfortunately I cannot give all the details and data but this is an individual with dhanu rising with mars in 2nd and guru in 8th. Family life is very disturbed and dysfunctional and to a large extent caused by the person's attitude and to some extent rather conservative values and upbringing. Presence of rahu in lagna does not help very much. 2Nd lord saturn is exalted in 11th with debilitated sun and mercury. WHAT I HAVE STATED IS CLEAR- PALENTS TRANSMIT THE QUALITIES OF THE SIGN/AMSA/HOUSES WHERE THEY ARE POSITED THROUGH THEIR ASPECT E.G. EXALTED JUPITER IN CANCER WILL LOSE SOME OF ITS POWER OF EXALTATION IF MOON OR VENUS IS PLACED IN THE SIGN OF CAPRICORN. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME BY STATING WHAT APPEARS YOU LIKE "FENCE SITTING" ? I PERSONALLY DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS VIEW. IN MY HUMBLE EXPERIENCE IF SATURN IS IN LIBRA AND ASPECTS THE HOUSE OF CANCER WHERE JUPITER IS EXALTED THERE WILL BE NO UCCHA BHANGA- SINCE SATURN TRANSIMITTING THE BEST OF ITS QUALITIES TO JUPITER THROUGH ITS ASPECT > > I have not very rigorously followed this concept of uccha planets in > opposition (literally in a chart and effect-wise) so will not make a > strong comment or observation as I would not be qualified to do so in > this area. IN MY HUMBLE VIEW I HAVE COME ACROSS A NUMBER OF HOROSCOPE WHERE THE PERSONS' MARRIED LIFE HAS BEEN MUCH TROUBLED DURING THE DASA OF 2ND LORD/9TH LORD PLACED IN 7TH OR 4TH OR 11TH HOUSE- THIS PROBLEM GETS WORSENED IF THE PLANET IS A NATURAL MALEFIC. > RR With regards, Mandakini ------------------------------- http://www.jyotimac for astrology of marriage and children
