Vargottam planets produces good results in their respective dasa and bhuktis. Ramesh Ji can guide u more nicely with regards to Vargottam planets in past he gave excellent note on Vargottam planet.But on Vedic astrology group. Malefics when vargottama would keep the spirits elevated in a carefree, devil may care attitude, will seem to be protective, but the karmic price will have to be paid later on often in the same lifetime! (In the D9 chart) Rahu Capri respectively" These nodes by virtue of vargottama,their malefic nature is bound to be toned down.Rahu association with the lord capricorn make the native practical to the core and also devoted and compassionate.where as ketu with moon in saptama bhava and in moon's navamsa makes the native to gain out of his friendsships and association,will have distrubed life personally and with tensions with spouse.Interestingly nodes always do not cause the same kinf of bad and gruesome effects in every chart except if malefics continue to as pect these nodes. sreelu Posted October 21, 2008 Report Share Posted October 21, 2008 Dear sirs, I have a horoscope with Saturn and rahu in the ascendant Taurus and Saturn is in retrograde. 3<SUP>rd</SUP> house has Jupiter and moon (cancer) and jupiter is in retrograde. 7<SUP>th</SUP> house(scorpio) has mars ,venus and ketu. 8<SUP>th</SUP> house(saggitarius) has mercury. Mercury is again in retrograde. 9<SUP>th</SUP> house has sun(Capricorn). The exact DOB is 18<SUP>th</SUP> janaury 2003, 3.18pm, bangalore. I have just started learning astrology. I have the following doubts. Is Saturn yogakaraka? I read that Saturn presence in lagna is not very beneficial for Taurus lagna. Is presence of mercury in 8<SUP>th</SUP> house good or bad? Jupiter in 3<SUP>rd</SUP> house with moon is good or bad? Rahu and ketu being exalted in 1<SUP>st</SUP> and 7<SUP>th</SUP> positions(further they are vargottamma occupying same positions in rasi and navamsha) would they be beneific or malefic? How to interpret the results of Saturn Jupiter and mecury which are in retrograde? Would venus be a functional malefic? Thanks in advance.
