Relevance of Stones for Rahu and Ketu- Ashutoshji

Respected Ashutosh ji,

Generally, you say that gems should not be prescribed for malefic panets.

Gomed being stone for Ketu, when and in what circumstances should be advised.

Please share your views on Rahu as well. I have seen astrologers ruthless using

stones for these planets. For what house placements you think to advise these ?

I have never suggested gems for rahu and ketu in my whole astrological

experience? Should we really do that? Pl. clarify. Thanks

Dear Pankaj,

Rahu and ketu are shadow planets and govern the unconscious

mind of the native. Both cannot be harmful or beneficial for any one individual.

One should find out their effects, whether beneficial or malefic, depending on

their strengths, placements and the placement of other planets coming under

their influence.

Then, if the need is there to improve either one of these planet's

influences, the gemstone can be provided. But, their gemstones are not

recommended in all cases and for all.

They are to be used sparingly but with proper judgement. There are no

steadfast rules prescribed for them. But, I have done extensive research on

these planets and their gems, maybe because my own horoscope is under a strong

influence of these two.
