Why 8th house Planets are such dreaded!!

It is said that 6, 8 & 12 are duststhanas and any planet in them is

inauspicious. Especially if any malefics like Rahu, Ketu, Saturn

etc.occupy any of them. What if a person has planets in all three

houses? Does this mean lot of struggle, unhappiness and obstacles or

may be more? This must not be very rare. I would like to hear more on

this please.

HI dave ,

i myself have moom in the 8th house and venus in the 12th house , i have

acq ascendent , but i can tell u one thing , venus in 12 gives a lot of

expensese , and very bad in money saving ability, also a u can call a

womenizer(flirt).moon in 8th is not good with respect tomental health , and

feels always lonely

pls correct me if i am wrong , that is what i observe in me and i am

writting

dear friends

even though six, eight and twelve houses are branded dusthana one

cannot blindly conclude that any planet in these houses is bad.

eight and twelve houses are moksha bhavas and have their own

significance in a native's spiritual journey.

saturn is the karak for all the three dusthana viz. six, eight and

twleve houses, even while mars also is attributed as karak for sixth

house.

Lords of Ten Houses are placed in the 8th and 12th houses in my own

chart and am making many people happy besides myself happy in doing

so.

each of the twleve bhavas are good in its own way just like each

organ of a body having its own use and importance.

Dear Pandit Arjun Ji ,

Pranam ,

I am learner ,so pls forgive if i write something silly ,

I understand that each bhawa is important , but sir , can u explain that

when u have venus in 12th house , it indicates heavey expenses , bed

happiness , and sexual inclination

then sir how can it have some spiritual impact

the below is my horoscope , i have jup in lagna making me very much pious ,

and god fearing , but i dont think venus plays that part

dear friend prashant

let me make it simpler to understand. in a stock market movement,

some shares move the index up and some shares move the index down.

even when the index is going up, some shares are falling but their

pulling down the index is outweighed by the other stronger shares

moving the index up and thus the net result of the index is green in

positive. similarly some planets may indicate negatives and some

positives. all results are true and happening simultaneously but

the net result is something one shall predict only after analysing

all factors. to look at the index movement and individual scrip

movement is what an analyst does akin to an astrologer on planets.

but there are some heavyweights who can single handedly change the

movement. for example, an exalted jupiter impacting the lords of

ten houses by way of conjunction and aspect in my own case.

your observation on venus is correct but there is no wrong in it.

we all human beings have gothras as we descended from the great

sages who too have a venus in their charts.

Dear Pandit Arjun Ji & Respected Guru ji,

Pranam,

What i dont understand is Parivartan Yoga , I have tryed to understand this

many times before , but i end up getting confused with the effect ,

Lets take an example

lets say the Aqu lagna lagna lord(Saturn) is in 5th house , and 5th lord

(Mer) in lagna , which is clearly no doubt that there is parivartan yoga

exsist.

Now let say , i have Jup , sun , and Mer in lagna , and 5th house has sat

and ketu ,in this scenario ,

1) Lagna is Aqu so saturn is the lord , but it has Sun in the Saturn house

,

2)Parivartan means Saturn is virtually in the lagna with Jup , and Sun

3)Sat in lagna would give alot diffrent result as Saturn in lagna is

considered very strong

4)Jup and Saturn Virtually together , so what would that combination mean

5) 5TH House has Ketu with saturn , or u can say virtual mercury so ketu

will act as mercury or Saturn ???

My point is that this parivartan is active or not , secondly ,sun and sat in

Saturn house , would give adverse effect , third iis how powerful this yoga

will be???

Dear Doshi ji,

In jyotish 8th house has highest regard.Any outstanding person has always a

very good 8th house due to which he must have come into lime light.sometimes

even great saints and sages also get defamed and destroyed 'coz 8th house.

If we consider 7th as kendra.the two house around it like 6th becomes 12th to

7th and 8th becomes 2nd to 7th .There are gains as well as losses.

A good always considers as ao priority to anlyse 8th first by considering it

as lagna.otherwise this house known as secret house is fathomless

Hi all,

This discussion about the 8th house being the dreaded

is scaring the crap out of me ...

i have exalted mercury (lord of the 5th and the 8th)

in the 8th house (virgo) along with sun (lord of the

7th - leo) ...

what does this indicate? good or bad? any remedies?

Hello Krishnan ji,

Pranam ,

Ok check this horoscope , in this horoscope the ither house has Sun and

Venus , and sun is in this own house , what does this indicate , ???

after studing this horoscope , though it has moon and mer in the 9th which

is considered as very very goood , but sun and venus is confusing me ???

Dear Vattem Krishnanji,

Thank you very much for your reassurance.

I have two other questions. Please answer it only if

you have time as there may be more important problems

to address for others. Here's what I wanted to know:

1. I have Mars & Venus in the 7th house (leo). What

are the implications of this? Late marriage? No

marriage? What sins should I have committed in

previous lives to have got this unfavorable 7th house

presence? I certainly don't want to commit those sins

again!

2. I have frequent mood swings. During some parts of

the day, I am upbeat about life while during other

parts I am full of sadness and depression over the

meaningless and stupid materialistic life I am trying

to lead. I sometimes consider spending more time in

spirituality. But during other times the material

world seems very attractive. So I am neither in the

material world fully nor am I in the spiritual plane

completely. I am lost in the midland where there is

only mental anguish and emotional suffering. While I

have many people around me, I am rather alone. Nobody

can understand the inner workings of my mind. There is

no one to who can understand me. This is turning out

to be quite painful. I have been enduring this pain

for nearly 5 years now. What astrological signatures

are responsible for this? Is there any remedy for this

mental suffering I am enduring?

Hello All,

In my chart too sun is in 8th house(own house) Leo. What it

indicates? i have kala-amirtha yoga too(i doubt).

Dear group members:

The 3rd and 8th lords as well as the planets in 8 are said to be very bad.

Look at this chart. You can be sure that the birth data is correct to the

minute:

DOB: 22 Nov. 1937

TOB: 15:07:00 Hrs.

POB: 21N42; 71E58

This is my chart. Venus, 3rd & 8th lord is in the 8th. As a matter of fact,

Venus dasa was the best period of my life. How ? I would appreciate comments

from the learned members.
