Waning moon malefic of benefic? [there is more ...]

roughly speaking, krishna dashami to shukla panchami (+/- five

tithis around amavasya) bring out the malefic potential in the moon.

Though sometimes confused with 'strength' pakshabala is really about

quality of the influence (also mimicked by uchchabala for all

planets) ...

 

Do take other 'roles' of such a moon into consideration, a vrishabha

moon, low in pakshabala would have a different expression than a

vrishchika moon low in pakshabala.
