In telugu there is a saying "Sivdagna Lenide Cheemaina Kuttadu", meaning with out Lord shiva's word even an ant would not bite. We might try to engineer the time of birth by choosing the auspicious time but it fructifies only if the child is destined to be born in that muhurtam. My sister in US had to be delivered by caesarian due to other complications and was given the option to choose the day/time. But no auspicious date, MInd You the best could be arrived at given the time frame , one week, as either the hospital was booked, doctor was not free finally an option a third one was given and finally the child , a boy was delivered.
