Remedies -- one or the other or one over the other?

Planets can have essentially four states

Strong benefic

Strong malefic

Weak benefic

Weak malefic

 

That is the 2-bit analogy in a digital sense (strength bit on or

off, quality bit on or off)

 

Well unfortunately the two attributes, strength and quality also

have a third bit setting. Planets can be neutral in quality and

strength. Don't you hate these fence sitters?

 

Remedies can be classified into two major groups:

 

Punitive

Non-punitive

 

Penance, including fasting, charity, volunteer service are punitive,

cause a bit of hurt

 

Wearing gemstones, getting pujas done, particularly off-shore when

one does not even have to sit cross-legged through the entire

procedure, I call non-punitive. True, one spends money, but in the

former case, gemstones, one essentially invests rather than spends,

unless you were taken for the ride on the internet or som 'babaji'!

Puja is kind of expensive, but still non-punitive as in physical

trouble.

 

Would be interesting to study, if one has saved the data as to:

 

Does one get prescribed the punitive vs the non-punitive remedies

during a certain dasha-bhukti transit, or is it all over the place

(like the rest of ... I bite my tongue here!)

 

Another more serious look would be at the chart of the nativities

who have benefitted from the prescribed remedies and to correlate

the type of remedy that was effective and the placement of

the 'culprit' causative planet in a certain house etc. Such as in

kendras vs trikasthanas, upachayas vs vyaya sthanas.

 

If you do not have the answers, I strongly urge that you start

looking and recording when you next prescribe remedies, as an

amateur or experienced!
