Guest guest
Dear Wendy and list, //She has never gone beyond the shores of her own country// I want to share one of my observations with you all. How far this is correct is yet to be properly investigated: For travel abroad, I look for two conditions - a. Strong 12th lord, (if the 12th lord is stronger than the lagna lord, there are good chances of settling down abroad) b. Some kind of connection between 12th lord and Jupiter (karaka for air travel) I have seen cases people never went abroad when the 12th lord is combust or otherwise weak. I consider air travel as a condition necessary to cross the oceans. I have not checked cases when people could go to a neighbouring country by road or when people traveled abroad by sea. In case of Merlene Bradford, 12th lord Saturn has no connection with Jupiter: - by conjunction - by aspect - by disposition - by nakshatra lordship Hence, I guess she did not go abroad. I would like the list members to share any cases which violates my hypothesis. We could together formulate a better set of conditions for travel abroad. Guest guest
Dear Krishnaji, Your hypothesis when I read first itself ,I appreciated the same time, and wanted to explore what was written. But time constraints were there, and could not do as wished. Definitely the interest is there, but for people like me who may be many , cannot get down to deep study after taking few charts of same type (Foreign trave/Air travel/Settlement abroad), because of our not been able to complete the daily business (Of earning bread and butter). For those who are well secured for future, its a seperate matter, they can get down to devoting more time to their hobby /Profession (Astrology), but as in my case , study work is only one when essential, and normal off the course communications on astrology is more preferred as it is not taxing to the mind, on the contrary relaxing. In future I will try to put up some charts of my cousins etc. (About 5-6 charts) who have now settled abroad in the last 15 years, and maybe discuss your hypothesis and apply the same on these. But as far as I remember they fly a lot and Jupiter is strong in all those charts. Therefore, please do not think that no one is interested, In this fast paced and highly work loaded and innumerable targets setted life, time is a vital factor, nothing else. Best wishes, Bhaskar. jyotish-vidya, Krishnamurthy Seetharama <krishna_1998 wrote: > > Hi All, > > Shall I assume that no one is interested in this? > > Regards, > Krishna > > --- Krishnamurthy Seetharama <krishna_1998 wrote: > > > Dear Wendy and list, > > > > //She has never gone beyond the shores of her own country// > > > > I want to share one of my observations with you all. Guest guest
Dear Krishna, //Shall I assume that no one is interested in this?// I have your earlier mail (and another from Shiv) sitting in my "Drafts" folder and am trying to get to them in between other tasks. Unfortunately it's often the case, since there are so few answering, that some mails do go unanswered for days. Also, as you know, the list is (normally) very quiet over the weekends. Perhaps I might write a little about travel (in general) here whilst it's on my mind. When we think about travel abroad we usually assume this means travel to far-off countries and that it also means air travel. This is not necessarily so! As the house of loss, 12th signifies loss of all boundaries i.e. social/moral boundaries and geographical boundaries as well as boundaries of consciousness. From this we can see how the 12th is associated with sin (social/moral boundaries), with travel abroad (geographical boundaries), and with moksha (experiences beyond the normal boundaries of consciousness). Moving abroad (to settle) can be interstate as well as international, whether by car, ship or plane, don't you agree? Air travel and travel for pleasure (holidays etc) is seen primarily from 9th and you're right that karaka for 9th (Jupiter) should be strong enough to support this. Certainly, if there is a connection between strong 9th/12th lords then one is more likely to travel abroad by plane. Hope to write more on this soon, Krishna. But for now, being Saturday, my husband is at home and, for the sake of harmony, I need to not spend too much time at the computer. Guest guest
Dear All, //Shall I assume that no one is interested in this?// Probably, I jumped the gun too fast. Yes, I realize people will have their own constraints and commitments. In any case, I would like to thank Wendy and Bhaskar for their kind responses. Dear Wendy, //Moving abroad (to settle) can be interstate as well as international, whether by car, ship or plane, don't you agree?// I fully agree with you. In fact, I have already said this in my previous mail that people could travel to neighbouring countries by Road or over sea. However, I excluded these cases for my current study involving Jupiter - the karaka for air travel. And, I am not looking at cases that require settlement in a foriegn country. I am looking at cases using air travel to go abroad. In this era of globalization, my personal opinion is that interstate travel need not be considered as long distance travel. //Certainly, if there is a connection between strong 9th/12th lords then one is more likely to travel abroad by plane.// I have not considered 9th lord so far. I will look into that as well. Guest guest
{Om Namo Narayanaya} Dear krishna ji, Namaskar. I did hesitate as it was my own chart that I wanted to discuss. My 5th and 12th lord, Venus is conjunct Mars(6th&11th lord) in Capricorn. Venus is in the nakshatra of Moon, Sravana and in Taurus Navamsha. 8th and 9th lord Saturn, the natural karaka is in the 7th conjunct Jupiter(in Moola trikona). I did travel/immigrate to NZ during the MD of venus(running currently) and travelled to India on a short visit during May 06 and came back during Sep 06. I presume 12th lord is stronger than the lagna lord, Mercury who is deb in the 10th in meena, conjunct ketu and Moon. Would it be right to infer that Venus is also in a state akin to being exalted being in the star of the Moon and in Taurus Navamsha. I cant think of any connection, aspect/conjunction of jupiter and Venus, except that the rasi dispositor being conjunct Jupiter and the Nakshatra Dispositor in the sign of Jupiter. We immigrated to NZ during the Ve/moon/Ve/sat( on 2nd May 2005)I travelled to India, my birthplace during Ve/Mars/venus/Moon and came back during Ve/Rahu/Rahu. My birth details are listed in the members'. regards Nalini. jyotish-vidya, Krishnamurthy Seetharama <krishna_1998 wrote: > > Hi All, > > Shall I assume that no one is interested in this? > > Regards, > Krishna > > --- Krishnamurthy Seetharama <krishna_1998 wrote: > > > Dear Wendy and list, > > > > //She has never gone beyond the shores of her own country// > > > > I want to share one of my observations with you all. Guest guest
Dear Naliniji, //I did hesitate as it was my own chart that I wanted to discuss.// It does not matter whos chart we are discussing as long as we have athentic birth details and learning something out of it. //I presume 12th lord is stronger than the lagna lord, Mercury who is deb in the 10th in meena, conjunct ketu and Moon. Would it be right to infer that Venus is also in a state akin to being exalted being in the star of the Moon and in Taurus Navamsha.// I agree that your 12th lord is stronger than your lagna lord. That explains your migration abroad. However, I am not sure if one can consider Venus being exalt. Hope others might comment on this. //I cant think of any connection, aspect/conjunction of jupiter and Venus,// There are a couple of connections: 1) 9th lord Sani (also karaka for air travel being 9th lord) is in the nakshatra of 12th lord Venus. 9th lord is also in conjunction with Guru which strengthens the case of air travel. 2)Jupiter and Venus are in close conjunction in Navamsha! //We immigrated to NZ during the Ve/moon/Ve/sat( on 2nd May 2005)// Notice that both Moon and Saturn have some connection with 12th lord Venus. Thanks for bringing up this chart to validate my proposal. Guest guest
{Om Namo Narayanaya} Dear Krishna ji, True I agree with you that as long as it helps *learning*, it does not matter whose chart it is. I did not consider placements in the Navamnsha, I am afraid, for the relation of Jup and venus. reg the placement of venus, I dont think that venus is 'exalted' but would it be almost 'strong" due to the factors .
