Here goes re-unabbreviated (which took as much time as I wd hv to re-write

the whole thing) from my notes on Swamsa

Definition: Controversial. Generally refers to Lagna (Lg) & includes

Atmakaraka (AK) in broader sense. Parasar used Swamsa to refer to both

KarakamsaLg (KmLg) & Lagnamsa (also known as Navamsa Lg (NvmLg)). Lagnamsa

= desire of physical self, while KmLg is desire of soul (as represents AK).

If 2 are cnj= ready fr self-actualisn, if mutually in 6/8= unhappy life.

Similarly see other karakas from the houses.

 

Interpretation basics: Planet in swamsa gives that planetry karakatwa's

basic thrust in life. Result fm NvmLg thruout life, from KmLg only in

specific dasas. See NB (= Natural Benefic) /NM plnts in NB/NM owned syns in

various houses from Swamsa (eg in 1/5= skill). Note all interpretations

also same with respect to (wrt) Arudh Lg (AL). Note Ra-Ke axis wrt these

prime indicators, eg Ke in 10=Pravrajya (renunciation).
