Guest guest
Dear Mr Rao 1. Ekadhipatya Sodhan: Ref Pg 135, 12.7.2 (3): My wording was very confusing earlier. To re-phrase: If a planet owns 2 signs, 1 of which is occupied, & the other empty, & both these syns have equal no of dots, the case is not covered in 3 a or b, & should fold into your case "a": make empty= 0. 2. Rudra vs 8th lord method in Longevity-spans: U R right. VAIP and JUPS have no discrepancy in both these definitions. Rudra= stronger of (8 from 1) vs (8 from 7), while L8 used here is 8 from stronger of (1 vs 7). The confusion was because of p.42 in CoVA where Mr Rath has erroneously used Rudra definition, even specifying the name Rudra for the 8th lord method, & that is what I had considered instead of reading Mr Rath's JUPS to affirm. No PLEASE do NOT tell me that pg.42 in CoVA is correct also. B'cos then I will tear my hair & cry. 3. 8 vs Spl 8: This is not related to VAIP, but discovered while I was figuring out the above. JUPS mentions to use Vriddha Karika (Spl 8) for ALL Ayur stanzas. I assume that to mean all definitions of Bramha, Rudra, Maheshwar, all longevity span stanzas, all related adjustments of hrasa/ vriddhi kakshya, & all ayur dasas. However, right in the initial stages of the definitions, on pg 158 in JUPS in the last few lines, where for AK in Cn, he talks about Ra possibly qualifying as Maheswar as lord of 8 (Aq). BUT hadnt I learnt just a few pages back, that Spl 8 of Cn is Sg? Cd U please clarify where EXACTLY Spl 8 & Spl lord of 8 is to be used in Ayur stanzas vs normal 8 & L8 With best wishes Nandan PS I had thot that after I finish reading VAIP I wd start applying my alphabets to real charts & so, start learning astrology. However, reading VAIP has whetted my appetite to finish reading JUPS & CoVA, many 1/2 hearted attempts at which, I had made so far. So maybe it will take a few months more for my "stop note ryting, start looking at my own chart", as both were v difficult to read sustainedly without a background, that VAIP provided.
