Dear Visti.

Could you please elaborate on judging married life using the above mentioned

points etc. (Jaimini system) when a person is married for the second or third

etc.... time, i.e in cases when there is a promise for multiple marriages in the

natal chart ?

Kind regards

Hello Jay.

I thought Parasara taught it.

I've worked with many ideas to get a bulletprof perspective of the chart in this

area. Heres what i've com up with:

The Upapada shows the marriage itself, whilst the 2nd from it shows the sustenance.

The 7th house shows the person one marries, and continuing every 8th from the

7th house we can see the succesive marriages.

i.e. 7th=1st spouse, 2nd=2nd spouse, 9th=3rd spouse, 4th=4th spouse, etc.

The same is done from upapada to reckon the marriages.

Parasara gives the methods to see the the kind of person one marries, in his

chapter on Arudha Padas.. they work quite well.

The Navamsa becomes a very important tool in judging the length of married life.

We should look to the lord of the spouse, in Navamsa to see whether the marriage

will happen, and the lord of the spouses Upapada to see if it will last.

Other things like Upapada+Lagnapada relation, indicates the relationship between

the two. The relationship between the Darapada and Lagnapada indicates how the

native deals with people in general.

The Lord of the 7th from Upapada, shows what the spouse is attracted to in the native.

You can judge the spouses siblings, etc from the Upapada, in the same mannor as we do the Lagnapada.

The Chara Darakaraka, and Kalatrakaraka Venus, are also important.

The 7th lord from Venus shows the origin of spouse, or "what brings the spouse".

Lets try an example.

Example:

Male:

Date of Birth: April 10, 1956Time of Birth: 8:00:00 amTime Zone

of Birth: 5:30 East of GMTLongitude of Birth: 86 E 08Latitude of Birth:

The 12th house is Aries, and its lord is in Cap. This puts the Upapada in

Cancer, with exalted retro-Jupiter. The 7th house is occupied by Saturn and

Rahu, which gives Graha Dristi on Venus, as does Saturn on Mars. Furthermore

Saturn is retrogade all confirming a Curse of the Wife from a past birth. The

Areas affected are seen from the signs lorded by Saturn, hence Dharma(9th) and

Carreer(10th). The 9th being affected is very important for marriage life.

The Upapada and Lagnapada are in 6th/8th relationship to each other giving

enemity, between the couple.

The Upapada is gravely afflicted by Saturn and Rahu, along with Venus and Ketu,

all by Rasi Dristi. The Upapada Lord is in pisces with the lord of 2nd

therefrom.. Lets make some notes;

Upapada Lord; Moon.

Lord of 8th from Upapada; Saturn/Rahu.

2nd lord; Mercury

9th lord; Saturn

Now lets use these notes in Navamsa.

| |+----------------------+

The lord of Upapada; Moon is in the 8th house, debilitated and joined with

Mandi, causing the break of the first marriage.

The lord of the 2nd house; Mercury is in lagna giving room for a 2nd marriage.

But due to the lord of the 8th from Upapada, and significator of 2nd marriage;

Saturns placement in 6th from Navamsa lagna, also this marriage will recieve

trouble.

The lord of the 3rd spouse is; Saturn which as stated before is very badly

placed, so we can't expect a 3rd marriage.

You can time problems in the marriage couple, from the PratyAntar Dasa's of

planets ill placed in Navamsa. The Maha and Antar Dasa's will have a final say

on, whether there is a break or not, in the marriage.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes, Visti.

Dear Visti,

Thanks for your time in putting it all together.

I'm sure many list members will benefit from this mail.

> I thought Parasara taught it.

Indeed - but there is nothing like experience and testing as you indicated in

your second line > I've worked with many ideas ...

Kind regards

Jay
