Guest guest
Dear Visti, > p.s. Does anyone know of any software that uses true Solar Years for > Nakshetra Dasa's? That is using the Suns transit to determine the exact time > of Vimshottari periods? I don't know of any existing software that does it. However, soon-to-be-released "Jagannatha Hora" (commercial version of "Jagannatha Hora Lite") will have it. This software is 80% ready and expected to be released by SJVC around October. It will not only have 365.2425 day years, 360 day years and user programmable n-day years (any n), but also have true solar years (where time is measured in direct proportion to Sun's longitude!) and also 360-tithi years (where time is measured in terms of the angle swept by Moon-Sun differential - two time periods are considered equal NOT if they have the same hours, minutes and seconds, but if Moon-Sun longitude differential sweeps the same angle during the periods). It is hoped that these two important options will enable very fine researches. The above options can be used not just with Vimsottari dasa, but with tens of other dasas available in the software. Except for a couple of rasi dasas, some support for prasna and muhurta, atlas integration and manual preparation, the software is ready. I am working on it whenever I can find a little time. It should be out around October. May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
Guest guest
Jaya Jagannath!! Dear Narasimha, Namaste. Ahh, looks like we can do some serious astrology then. Will you also add a function to specifically adjust the degree of the moon, as this is a sensitive point? Even with a precise planetary engine, the moons degree can differ.. How easy will it be to draw Pravesh charts from the various Dasa's? Hope to hear from you soon. Best wishes, Visti. - pvr (AT) mediaone (DOT) net vedic astrology Wednesday, July 18, 2001 3:51 PM [vedic astrology] Software with true solar years Dear Visti,> p.s. JH gives the entry charts (pravesha chakras) of all mahadasas, antardasas, pratyantardasas, sookshma-antardasas, deha-antardasas and jeeva-antardasas under all the dasa systems covered (Vimsottari, Ashtottari, Kalachakra, Yogini, Narayana, Sudasa, Shoola, Moola etc etc). However, dasa pravesh charts in nakshatra dasas may not be useful without confident rectification. But they will be useful atleast in rasi dasas! Just wait 2-3 more months... > Hope to hear from you soon. > Best wishes, Visti. May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
