Guest guest
Hello All, I have a doubt, i am using the Jagannath Hora Lite software. I found that for my horoscope the D-10 lagna is coming out to be something else, but according to my calculation it should be some thing else. My lagna of 19 Li 06 in janma kundali the D-10 lagna is aries. but i feel that it should be Libra only. D-10 is the 1/10 division of a rasi. ie. 3 degrees per division, if i am not wrong or is it something else. Is there something wrong in my understanding or something wrong in the settings of the software, Please respond quickly, because if the lagna is wrong in the D-10, all the other study and interpretation goes wrong. I observed some difference in other Divisional charts also. Thanking you all - Amar.
Guest guest
Dear Amar, I have written some independent software for the same and can assure you that JHL is correct. It may be your source of info on the D charts that is either different or incorrect. Guest guest
Dear Amar, You are correct that the Dasamsa parts are 3' degrees each. For even planets( or lagna) thee parts are counted from the natal position, but for even planets the parts are counted from the 9th position from Jupiter's natal position. Perhaps this is where you have gone wrong? Where is your janma lagna? Or maybe you could attach your data. I've never encountered any problems with JHL. Guest guest
I meant to type that planets in odd signs are counted from their natal position. Sorry for the error. So what will be the lagna in the D-10 chart of mine. Is it Aries or Libra. Thank you - Amar.
Guest guest
Dear Amar, Sorry for not being clear. If you janma lagna is 19' Libra, then it gains 7 dasamshas. 0-3' gains 1 dasamsha 3-6 " 2 " 6-9 3 9-12 4 12-15 5 15-18 6 18- 21 7 and so on Since Libra is an odd sign, count 7 sign from it's own sign, hence Aries. If your lagna was even, then you would have had to count 7th signs from the 9th sign from your natal Jupiter. So, JHL is correct in giving Aries as your Dasamsha lagna. I hope I was more clear this time. Best Wishes, Karen
