Guest guest
Doug, Appreciate your response. I will check out the Nakshatra sources you mentioned. This past year with Mars making its long transit through my 6th house has had difficulties. I have thrown my back out twice, once at my neck, and once at my middle back. I have also had both my wisdom teeth pulled, which did not involve complications but was precipitated by much pain. I was hoping Mars in my 7th would be better, but now I see it is heading straight for Ketu. Mars is at 9 degrees, so it is not in Ashlesha. It also has Ketu just before it, and Mercury just after it. Ketu is in Punarvasu. By the equal house system I use they are all in the 2nd. So Mars already has a strong Ketu influence in my natal chart. Here is a question: Is the Moon in the 10th in Pisces strong enough to help Mars out of its debilitation? The recent difficulties have also involved Saturn. I am in the Saturn sub-period of my Venus Dosha. Both are in the 12th in Taurus, and have been aspected by Mars recently. And now I am about to start the Mars "mini" period, I believe. I apologize, I don't know all of the terms. What are the implications of a Saturn Return, which I am currently experiencing, from the Vedic perspective? To the other person who replied to my email: Thank you for checking out the site, but I would appreciate more of a response than "it is far-fetched." Do you know of another reason why the planets rule in that order? Isn't the logic proposed by that site closer to the truth than no logic at all? Or why do you think that the addition of Rahu & Ketu to the 7-day week is so far-fetched? Appreciate engaged conversation, thank you. For Gemini, a fallen Mars is indeed difficult. You'll note when Mars is active, it causes you and your mother both some harm. A fallen planet is no blessing, but rather a karmic challenge. You should work to overcome its effects. I wouldn't prescribe remedies without you being a client, but I would encourage you to "use up" Mars energy daily, to deflect it from bringing harms. Mars loves agriculture, nature, pets, hatha Yoga, sex, exercise of all kinds and sports. Do these things daily and your life will be much easier. Right now, use care, for Mars is nearing conjunction with Ketu in Sag. Accidents could occur, and you may have personal and business relationship challenges. Events for this transit happen very fast. The most sensitive time is 9/10 - 9/14. Regarding more info on the Nakshatras, Hart Defouw does a nice job in "Light On Life", and Dennis Harness in "Nakshatras." I think that Komilla Sutton also has a Nakshatra text out, and she is very easy to follow. If your Mars in in Ashlesha, it is worse than in Pushya. doug riemer _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
Guest guest
Glad to be of service, David. It is Ketu/Merc that gives you astrology talent, by the way, and as these 2 planets all aspect the 8th, the influence is magnified - though, again, there are other influences. Since you're running Saturn in the 12th, and it rules the 8th and 9th, this Dasa brings astrology forward as well. Your Moon has some strenth in Pisces, but you would have to look at other influences there to determine how much it helps your Mars. However, you Moon could improve Mars only in a limited way. (That was a good insight to look at the 2nd ruler strength.) Most valuably, your Moon makes "everyone love you" - so you get support from others. That is the real benefit for your Mars trials, especially when running Saturn. The Pisces Moon is also a very nice devotional influence, which can help during worldly challenges. Looks like your mother has a very difficult incarnation. Is she mentally unbalanced? Has she suffered any neurological disease? Be careful during this Ketu/Mars transit. I'm not doing this to drum up business, but with your chart and cycles, you would really benefit from a reading, if you haven't had one recently. Some remedies would be very helpful. "Astrology is not just knowing the life but planning the life." I know a good guy outside Boston if you want a someone closeby for a face-to-face.
