Dear Patrice,

Your message wasn't harsh and mine wasn't intended to be either. I

am happy to share anything in my chart with you. Truly it has

bothered me having Saturn where he is. I was an older mother though,

being 37 when my daughter was born. This may have caused her some

grief, perhaps.

Love,

Gili

Dear Gili and List,

Namaste.

>>>I am just making a comment.  I don't doubt your scholarship.  I

have

Saturn (also Moon and Mars) in my 4th house, Taurus.  I am often

asked, based on my chart, if I had conflict with my mother or with my

daughter.  The simple answer is no!  I asked my daughter (an only

child, age 20) to confirm this and her only comment was "Well you did

over-mother me a little.... "

I hope this helps.

Thank you Gili, for your words here. Re-reading my post, it sounded as

written a bit harshly. I have full appreciation for all those sharing

on

this list, and great thanks for their efforts in helping me to learn

Jyotish

as well as appreciation for all their views.

As my son's chart shows this Saturn in 4th, and it is almost always

referred

to as relationship with mother, I'm always naturally interested in any

further understanding of how to clarify this. I humbly accept with all

gratitude the great words of our great teachers and classic writings.

And

I'm sure this is reflecting some kind of 'restriction' or something

with

this. I always begin to wonder if this necessarily 'always' means

mother as

well as all the other karakas associated with the 4th house.

Such as my son has been home schooled. He has lived in a house which

we are

always in construction on since he was quite young. He's now 15

yesterday,

and has lived here in this construction for 8 years. He has shown

some kind

of problem when it comes to testing. A wonderful and talented

astrologer

told me this is due to his age and at this time his more intuitive,

artistic

mind than a true problem with learning or testing.

On the other hand, I am older than when having my other three

children. And

as I said in the earlier post, circumstances at times put my

attention onto

other children, one child in particular did require a lot of

consistent

energy, resources and time for a couple years.

Thank you so much for your thoughts shared here, Gili. It definitely

does

help to hear others experiences regarding this and as so often I see

words

similar to those shared by Doug's post (which I originally thought

were from

cjjohans), which seem to be a quite harsh reality for the native with

regard

to mother. And this is not my experience with my son or brother. I'm

really

looking for any suggestions on how we would go about verifying this.

I'm

assuming it would be by the Moon as well, in Rasi and also using

Navamsa and

Saptamsha with regard to the 4th house and again with Moon. Would a

Chandra

Lagna be of any help here in this respect regarding mother???

I ran a search in GJ for Saturn in 4th house in the charts that the

come

with his program, including famous, and those I have entered. It

turned up

in 281 charts, including Elvis Presley, which was interesting with

all the

media press on his closeness to his mother and their relationship. In

his

chart Saturn is in 4th Aquarius with Moon.

All best regards,

Patrice
