Vyam Vysadevaya Namaha!

--------------------------------

Dear Peter,

I'm not so much interested in the Sub-Dasa

calculations as i'm interested in the source of this

knowledge. Acording to his article the reference is

from Jaimini Sutras.

http://www.vedicastro.com/article-tara-lagna-dasha.html

The Jaimini Sutra relevant to the calculation of the

Tara Lagna dasha is:

"Tara (the nakshatra at birth) is to be divided into

twelve parts. Count from the lagna and compute the

dasha from the house indicated by the corresponding

location of the natal Moon in its nakshatra."

Now if only he had given the sloka for this, i'd

hopefully be able to understand this.

The Other Sloka:

"When AK is in odd quarter and odd sign, the AD’s are

direct in order; AK in odd quarter and even sign

indicates reverse order; in even quarter and even

sign, the order indicated is direct; and finally, AK

in even quarter and odd sign indicates reverse order

of the AD’s."

Now the above i don't understand the background of.

I sent an email to him, asking him to explain the

exact slokas explaining these things, but i'm not sure

whether he has recieved it, or not.

Since you've had contact with him, i'd ask you to

email him regarding which slokas he's referring to in

this regard.

Best wishes, Visti.

Vyam Vysadevaya Namaha!

--------------

Dear Sanjay & Peter,

Seems that my doubts were correct.

2.4.27: Tararkamshe Mandayo Dashaeshah(a)

This Tara Lagna is also known as the Sree Lagna.

The Dasa is also known as the Lagnadi Rasi Dasa, Sree Lagna Kendradi Dasa, or simply Su-Dasa.

Now question is whether to adopt fixed years(9 years) like Ayur Dasa's, or

Adopting changable years like Chara Dasa.. I prefer the latter, and a worksheet

has allready been produced using this.. its called; "Su-Dasa". The Period

sequence is like Kendradi Dasa's which would no doubt give far better results.

Parashara has also given this Dasa: Sloka 188-190, chapter 46 of Santhanams edition.

Best wishes, Visti.
