Vyam Vysadevaya Namaha!

-------------------

Hi Nimmi,

I agree fully with the scheme of emoional vs rationale, which is probably what i

was aiming at with the Moon vs Lagna.

But lets get back to, whether the lagna-vimshottari shows the will of the native.

We allready have adopted the scheme of the Sudarshana Chakra, where the overall

indications come from Sun. The Moon shows the ones we meet, and the Lagna shows

our decissions making ability.. As we allready know.

Now, the starting point of Vimshottari is one thing, and shows the pre-disposition of the native.

The judgement of the events and decissions is another scheme, and cannot be

integrated in the same way.

I.e. just because the person is predisposed towards emotional thinking, why

would they're actions be much clearer with Lagna-Vimshottari? Rather you'd find

that the persons predisposition, shows their actions much clearer. Hence the

reason that Lagna-Vimshottari works better for some, as does

Chandra-Vimshottari for some.

I like this discussion, looks like we're getting closer to a conclussion.. do you feel the same?

What about Horas? Some people have lagna in Moons Hora, and some in Suns? This

must have some significance.

Best wishes, Visti.

Re: [vedic astrology] Nimmi's painting and dasas

Dear Visti,The mind has different aspects. There is the manas, and the bhuthi.

Thesecorrespond to the emotional self and the rational self. It is quite

commonto find these at odds in the same person. But beyond this there is also

the will, or if you like the choice of focus. The act of making a choice, I

think that is where the will manifests itself.I think there is a third actor in

the drama. Otherwise freewill has nomeaning, it just becomes a weighting process

based on the reactions of theemotional and rational minds.Regards,Nimmi-----

Dear Visti,

Yes I do feel we are close to something that is just tantalisingly out of sight!

Can we way that the Chandra Vimshottri reflects the mind state(I would agree),

and the Lagna Vimshottri actions taken? Lagna also stands for self expression I

think. So this could also show the direction of self expression, and Venus dasa

would then indicate self expression using art, possibly.

Weak ascendants dont necessarily make one less rational, but they do reduce

confidence and the will to take independent action, I find. Strong ascendants

dont necessarily make one more rational (I should know, I have one!) just more

inclined to take your own decisions and less inclined to seek advice.

If a chart has a strong rational basis but a weak ascendant, a tendency to avoid

acting independently seems to be true.

Best wishes,

Nimmi
