Sahams are critical/important points in the zodaic.

There are several important points. Planets transiting/conjoining a particular

saham will have a fair amount of saying in the matters for which the saham is

an important zodaical point.

 

For example, Paradesa Saham is an position important for foriegn travel/stay. If

any of the planets in your horoscope come to this saham in transit, the chances

for foriegn travel increase.

 

You might have seen guideline like "Marriage can be predicted when Jupiter

transits the trines of the position obtainied by adding "Venus and Jupiter in

the birth chart".

Sahams are similiar. They give us overall guidance.
