To Visti on exaltations and moolatrikonas

Dear Visti,

 

I read your recent post about the exaltation/moolatrikona/own house

issue for Rahu and Ketu.

 

I agree that your logic is fascinating as far as Moon is concerned.

But on that count, Jupiter and Sun should have swapped places between

Leo and Sagittarius and those should have been their moolatrikonas.

It doesn't end there. Mars should certainly have owned Gemini (being

a karaka for siblings and valor) and had that for a moolatrikona.

Also, there can't be too satisfactory an explanation for Mercury

owning either the third or sixth houses, much less have its

moolatrikona and exaltation in the latter, because he isn't reputed

to be influential in matters relating to either of those houses.

Saturn should definitely not have owned either Capricorn or Aquarius,

since both these houses suit Jupiter the best. Venus's case is

somewhat explicable, though.

 

Have I made sense or missed something?

Yes you have missed something.

Don't use Natural Karakas as your basis.

 

Lets take Sun and Jupiter;

 

Sun enjoys to promote life(Aries), and personality.

Suns job is to give life, intelligence and raja yoga(leo).

Sun feels at home in the same.

 

Jupiter enjoys to give happiness(and watch his elephants)(Cancer).

Jupiters Job is to promote Dharma(Sag).

Jupiter feels at home with other sages, who will achieve moksha.

 

So you see?

Now i wanto see you explain the same for the rest of the grahas.
