November may be a horrible month for the terrorist camps of Afghanistan/Pakistan. Though the US administration is mentally preparing Americans for a long-drawn war, the war may finish in 2001 itself. Of course, there may be some coninued operations and maintenance for a few more years, but the main war may be over in 3-6 weeks." Though US officials were projecting a long-drawn guerilla war, you may note that things are happening fast. Taliban has been cornered to a smaller region now. Despite rhetoric from Taliban leaders, expect an early end to the main drama. However, you may also expect repercussions of this until mid-2002. Graha koota in Taurus in May 2002 may bring changes and new beginnings for some nations. Based on Afghanistan's annual Full Moon chart, I wrote on Sept 15: "Oct 11-Dec 28 may bring losses in a war". The war started on Oct 8 close to Oct 11. Based on USA's annual Full Moon chart's Rudramsa Mandooka dasa, I wrote "Ge dasa (Nov 3-Dec 6) can bring enemy's destruction". Indeed this dasa is bringing losses for the enemy and even the "destruction of enemy" may happen before this period ends. When FBI put out a warning about an impending terrorist attack around October 12, I wrote: "However, in my astrological judgment, there might not be a terrotist attack of considerable magnitude during October 2-31". I did not expect another attack in October. October seemed safe to me. By God's grace, this prediction came true. However, on a negative note, I wrote that USA should not get carried away with successes in the war and be careful with domestic security. I wrote: "There is, however, a considerable chance for a major attack on USA during November. I am concerned about early November (especially November 1) and Nov 13-18. There may be something affecting the resolve of USA during November 13-18." ( See vedic astrology/message/9160). Now, that's a prediction that I'd rather prefer to go wrong. However, astrological factors suggest a loss for USA. As Trisphuta is a highly sensitive point and I used Trisphuta Vimsottari dasa, the dates could be off a little. But the next week or so is Saturn's Trisphuta Vimsottari dasa and Saturn is the 6th and 7th lord closely in Prana sphuta. Luckily, the first critical period I ear-marked (early November) passed without an incident despite FBI's second round of warnings and California Governor's specific warning. The second critical period of November will run for another 5 days or so. Hopefully this too shall pass without new terror. After all, astrology is a study of natural tendencies and not deterministic in nature. And, I am just a student and not perfect at it. Hopefully my concerns will turn out to be unfounded. Considering astrological factors and my previous prediction (of no attack in October and attack in November), I view Taliban Supremo's warning of a big plan to "destroy USA" seriously. Though his words may be highly exaggerated, they perhaps have something up their sleeves. What gives me a chill is that the next week or so is conduvice to an attack from various perspectives (I am not saying it newly now. I wrote it one month back). When FBI put out a warning, people criticized and asked "what are we supposed to do with it". In my case, the objective is clear. Because the next week is critical (despite successes in Afghanistan), I request you all to pray to your god (Allah or Buddha or Christ or Krishna or Shiva or Whoever). Prayers do help.
