Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namaha!---------------- Hi Partha, Replies to your comments bellow; a) vrischika is the 8th house of the natural zodiac and is also known for spirituality, occultism and the hidden secrets of the universe. Ok... well i know a few astrologers with Navamsa Lagna in Taurus. Narasimha Rao is one of them. Sanjay Rath, actually has his Navamsa Lagna in Scorp. b) navamsa stands for the dharma of the person in the society. Yes. now swamiji was a great guru and a great philosopher. c) he was born in a well to do family also.d) if navamsa lagna is to be kanya as per your argument then he should have been an astrologer, writer, accountant or a banker and not a great spiritual teacher. You know well enough that a persons profession, isn't exclusively determined by ones natural abilities. It looks like your mixing; "Karma in Soceity" & "Dharma in Soceity".. The former indicates ones work, whilst the latter indicates ones approach. e) guru in navamsa lagna in vrischika gives him tremendous yogic power and fame.it also explains the fact that he felt for the needy and the poor. Guru has nothing todo with fame, why would it give that? Moon is the giver of fame, if we should give such a basis. I'm referring to 3 slokas by Jaimini, which explains Kanya Lagnamsa. Jaimini's Upadesa: Sloka 1.2.83: "If two malefics are in trines (to Swamsa) the native gains expertise in spells(mantra) and occult knowledge." Jaimini's Upadesa: Sloka 1.2.85: "The malefics in trines, when aspected by benefics gives expertise in white magic". Jaimini's Upadesa: Sloka; 3.1.26: "If Karakamsa joins the Lagnamsa, the native hails from a noble family." Adding to this, the more benefics that aspect/join the Karakamsa, the higher the status of the native at birth. With Kanya Lagnamsa, Karakamsa is Dhanus, and gives Rasi dristi on Kanya. Also 3 malefics are in trines to Kanya indicating his yogic abilities. Mars = Brahmastra, Saturn = knowledge of the dead, Rahu = knowledge of potions/immortality. Jupiter gives Graha and rasi dristi on all the malefics. Hope this helps, Best wishes, Visti.
Guest guest
DEAR VISTI Your analysis is good but i feel that you had given a theoretical explanation rather than how and why of vrischika navamsa. i would ask you simple questions a) What does Vrischika stand for exactly, many have agreed that it is one of the most important signs for spirituality. as i had said earlier the manifestation of ones dharma in a postive way in society would come only through the divine support. b) Let us take a small example , jupiter in 12th ,say for thula lagna , or jupiter retrograde say for sagittarius lagna, does it indicate blessings of the god? i would say no. simply because guru is the planet which stands for knowledge of upanishads, vedic knowledge and strong sense (higher plane) of the unknown(god) cannot give the results for these poor chaps including me. c) probably i am going of the tangent but kindly go to the site of ramakrishna mission(type vivekananda or ramakrishna mission in google) As you had said earlier that you had not seen Swamijis photograph , kindly go to these sites and see his majestic personality, and read if not articles , atleast some extracts from his speeches to understand that guru is definetely the most powerful planet and he is in vrischika navamsa. d) you had quoted Jaimini sutras , but could you kindly explain me what would be the differnce if guru is third from kanya navamsa , and what would be the effect if guru is in vrischika navamsa. then we could get some clarity. regards partha vedic astrology, "Visti Larsen" <in_joy_i_scream> wrote: > Vyam Vysadevaya Namaha! > ---------------- > Hi Partha, > > Replies to your comments bellow; > > a) vrischika is the 8th house of the natural zodiac and is also known for > spirituality, occultism and the hidden secrets of the universe. > > Ok... well i know a few astrologers with Navamsa Lagna in Taurus. Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namaha!--- Dear Partha, I'm giving my analysis of both Navamsa Lagna's bellow: Vrischika Lagnamsa. --------------------- Guru joining Vrischika Lagnamsa, gives knowledge of the vedas, good grammar, and a philosopher. Buhdda gives Rasi Dristi on Lagnamsa, giving strong writing skills. Shukra exalted in trines gives artistic and poetic ability. Ketu and Rahu also give Rasi Dristi, as Rahu gives a Duryoga, tainting the skills. Ketu gives strong mathematical precission, and with Guru in Lagna, this creates an astrologer of very strong precission. Rahu in 3rd shows a person who carries a weapon.. i.e. a person who uses force to get what they want. Lagnamsa in 12th from Karakamsa, makes up for a very spiritual person. Lord of Karakamsa; Guru joins Lagnamsa showing rise later on in life, but born in family of normal wealth. Kanya Lagnamsa. -------------------- Kanya recieves Rasi dristi from; Karakamsa, Ravi, Shukra & Chanda. Karakamsa's aspect gives birth in noble family. Ravi's aspect gives knowledge of the Vedas and the Bhagavad Gita. Shukra's aspect gives strong artistic and poetic traits, Chandra's aspects gives knowledge of Sankya Shastra and Yoga philosophies, besides history or produces a singer. Guru in 3rd from Lagnamsa, shows a peaceful person, who reads the vedas. Sani, Mangal & Rahu in trines produces someone with knowledge of tantra & yantra, and one who can cast spells. Lagnamsa in 10th from Karakamsa, shows his souls desire to work hard (karmayogi). Saturn in trines to Lagnamsa, proves his strength as one who has to work hard in his life, to achieve his souls desire. Moon in 10th from Lagnamsa, indicates his work with Yoga or singing. Better? Best wishes, Visti. - partvinu5 vedic astrology Monday, November 19, 2001 2:10 PM [vedic astrology] Re: Swami Vivekenanda's Navamsa Lagna DEAR VISTIYour analysis is good but i feel that you had given a theoretical explanation rather than how and why of vrischika navamsa.i would ask you simple questionsa) What does Vrischika stand for exactly, many have agreed that it is one of the most important signs for spirituality. as i had said earlier the manifestation of ones dharma in a postive way in society would come only through the divine support. b) Let us take a small example , jupiter in 12th ,say for thula lagna , or jupiter retrograde say for sagittarius lagna, does it indicate blessings of the god? i would say no. simply because guru is the planet which stands for knowledge of upanishads, vedic knowledge and strong sense (higher plane) of the unknown(god) cannot give the results for these poor chaps including me.c) probably i am going of the tangent but kindly go to the site of ramakrishna mission(type vivekananda or ramakrishna mission in google)As you had said earlier that you had not seen Swamijis photograph , kindly go to these sites and see his majestic personality, and read if not articles , atleast some extracts from his speeches to understand that guru is definetely the most powerful planet and he is in vrischika navamsa.d) you had quoted Jaimini sutras , but could you kindly explain me what would be the differnce if guru is third from kanya navamsa ,and what would be the effect if guru is in vrischika navamsa.then we could get some clarity.regardspartha--- In vedic astrology, "Visti Larsen" <in_joy_i_scream> wrote:> Vyam Vysadevaya Namaha!> ----------------> Hi Partha,> > Replies to your comments bellow;> > a) vrischika is the 8th house of the natural zodiac and is also known for> spirituality, occultism and the hidden secrets of the universe.> > Ok... well i know a few astrologers with Navamsa Lagna in Taurus.
