Benefics do well with 2, 5, 7, 9 and 11 from Chandra. Sukra and Budha can give good results even in 8th house, also Sukra can even be good at 12th house. See in the Pisces which is the feet of kalapurusha he gets exalted. Important results are there for slow moving planets like Guru, Rahu, Kethu, and also Sani. Sani is the most feared natural malefic, so there is lot of importance for its transit. There are few things like the time and nakshatra at which the transit happened etc. modify the results to an extent. There are some Murthy nirnayas that are calculated for the slow moving planets like Guru and Sani. Lot of weekly and monthly predictions in the papers are largely based on the Gochara of the planets. Nadi principles also attribute results based on planets moving over planets in the natal chart. R.G.Rao of Bangalore has written a good book talking about these aspects. To quote an example, it says, when Kethu goes over Moon, there is health problem for mother. I have seen this happening and those people are advised to do remedies for Kethu. The person also develops divine contemplation and goes to sacred places as Kethu is a spiritual planet and he influences the manas karaka. Research needs to be done to check if the results for a native is due to both gochara and Dasa Bhukthi results. For example, if Guru dasa is running if Guru comes to favorable place like 9th from moon, it may definitely give the good results which he indicates for the native based on Guru's ownership in the native's chart. For predicting events, it is a nice supplement to other mechanism of predictions like Dasa systems.
