This book is inexpensive and gives lot of basics - like Tithi, Yoga, Karana, etc. In addition, it talks about Bhava's and gives the effects of different graha's under various Bhavas. It talks about Nakshatras and also about Vimshottari t some extent. I recommend this book to beginners as it is written in a simple lucid style. Mr.Murthy by profession was an Engineer and he was a hobbyist in astrology. The book was developed under the guidance of Mr.K.N.Somayaji, who again is a reputed pandit and an accomplished Jyotishi. warm regards, Balaji S.
