Od course you are right . I was still thinking Western and that is why I

mentioned Venus (29 Pisces).

 

If my memory is good Gandhi had the Moon as his Atmakaraka. He gives

popularity in general, right? But as it's the Moon this does not mean that

all the matters indicated by the Moon will fluctuate?

 

You know it's still so strange for me to think of myself as a Moon in Leo

(in Jyotish) . When I first started astrology and I saw that I have a Virgo

Moon (Western) I hated it !! Then little but little I came to respect and

appreciate the Virgoen qualities. Now with Leo.... I still cannot grasp it

so well.

Sorry to intrude, but Moon is my AK too and incidentally I'm also Aslesha, the

same star as Gandhi's; sadly nothin's happened to me yet. A life steeped in

mediocrity thus far

Dear Ramapriya,

The Planet indicating the Atmakaraka, isn't a

sure-shot combination for great achievements, but the

AK's involvement with Chara Putra/Pitri Karakas, can

give Raja Yogas through association, and AK's

involvement with Navamsa lagna can also do the same..

Make sure you note the dispositor of AK as well.

 

The Graha indicating the AK, shows the person realises

god, and which lessons the person should learn.. If

the AK is a natural malefic, then the lessons are

harsh(mars= anger/violence, Saturn=sorrow, Rahu =

complete understanding of Karma.)

 

Btw, from discussions at SJVC, we decided on Jupiter

as AK in the 7th house, i believe. Reason being that

he worked so hard to establish justice.. this is

supported by his work as a lawyer as well.

 

Moon as AK, means that the person is very

compassionate towards all living beings, and strives

to preach this as well.. Gandhi wasn't very

compassionate towards the british.. his demand was

clear; "pack your bags and leave".
